I don't go to church, because I'm pretty non-denominational, but Jesus said that wherever a few are gathered in His name, He will be there. I created a faith group with my friends, and we pray and sing kumbaya. It's pretty rocking, yo.

Hello Bluish. Welcome to the forum. I myself am an agnostic deist, and I do have some doubts about christianity. My problems are specifically with the old testament, although I think Revelation is a pretty messed up book as well. Hopefully we can have a civil and intelligent discussion about these topics.

Yeah, the Old Testiment can be a little crazy. Agnostics are usually cool, but to choose doubt as a religion isn't quite my cup of tea. But it's whatever man.

When did I claim to have read the Bible? I'm not that great at intros, so I'm just kind of going with the flow. I have a feeling this question is a trap, but I'll answer it by saying you use KJV, so I will too out of respect.

Don't be a jackass. Jesus left His word here for us as a complete guidebook for life in all its aspects. You can't be a cherry-picker and at the same time call yourself a Christian.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Technically, if you're a christian, then you're choosing doubt of Islam and Buddhism as a religion. Are you referring to doubt in the existence of a higher power, or more specifically, doubt in the existence of the christian deity? To be honest, you do kind of sound like a really laid-back youth group type christian. I personally am not bothered by that mindset, but others might be.

Matthew 5:17 means exactly what it says. Jesus never tried to abolish the laws of the Old Testament. They are still as valid today as they were 6000 years ago.
