Hi, sorry, I didn't know the introduction was necessary, I miss some things in my reading from time to time.

My name is Jeremy, I am a student in college studying Automotive related stuff. I have come here to understand more about the bible. How it really is, and with further clarity than I do have. I am not great at reading, so I will make mistakes, and I am not a veteran with the bible, and reading can be hard for me at time.

Anyways, I will do my best when I am here, but I am mostly here for the reason of learning.

I am not married, so I don't have any children. I was baptized as Mormon when I was 8 years old, but I don't attend church regularly. My mother watches TBN, so the conflicts within the religions has been a complicated one, I have not had a lot of time to study the bible, but I would like to know more about it. I feel the bible is important when coming into any issue that you cant find answers. It is after all, the moral teachings of man.

Do you still believe in Mormonism? Probably not, seeing as you don't have any wives. But if you want to learn more about the Bible, just read it. Start with "In the beginning" and end with "Amen." But no one can read the Bible for themselves and fail to see that it is much more than the teachings of man; it is the Word of God (2 Tim 3:16). If you want to know what we believe, use the search function.

Yes, my faith in Mormonism, is in jeopardy due to my mother being a Televangelist, one grams being Mormon, the other Protestant and the other catholic. I don't know how so many religions can come from the same book. I am not after a belief, but the literal interpretation of the word of God. I have read the bible, its just really hard for me to understand sometimes cause the way they say things, so I thought this forum would help me understand the literal interpretations of the word of God.

Indeed we can, friend! The Holy Bible is really not so complicated, once you know how to read it. The only thing you have to do is have faith. Trust the LORD to mean what He says, and to say what He means. Trust Jesus to mean what He says, with no hidden agenda, no secret interpretation. It's really quite simple. Those who would try and convince you to have to "study" the Bible as if it were some complex text book are doing the work of Satan, trying to scare you away from reading and believing the Word of God. Remember, don't swallow anything Satan is trying to ram down your throat. Jesus comes first!

It is good that you realize the Bible means what it says. Logically that also means that people who don't read His Word literally are making things up about what It says, they are lying about what God tells us. Now ask yourself why anyone would tell lies about God, He that is the source of all that is good in the world. Obviously only people who are against goodness would so, people who are in the employ of the Devil. It saddens me that you must now realize that your mother and grans are all in bed with Satan. But do not despair, Jesus knew this would happen, and told us that if you don't hate your father and your mother you have no business with Him. You will read it in the KJV 1611 yourself when you get to that part.

I pray for you, wishing God gives you the strength to denounce all your heathen family members, so they may one day realize the evil of their ways.

Yes, its not quite like that. She is just very active in Crosspointe alliance, and some TBN and that. Shes not afraid to get on camera, but she doesn't have her own show. She would drag me to Benny Hin, and things like that, and expect me to go up, where they did the talking and tongues and they thing where your supposed to faint and all that. Yes, they seen demons and when ghost hunting and all those things, I just stay back and watch. Yes, my mom does where the pants in the family, up till almost a year ago, when my father passed away in a car accident. I don't know why she thinks she can stand up and preach, maybe I should ask her.

The complete text is available online for free. Make sure you select King James Version in the drop down menu.

And don't skip the begats, which is the pitfall of many n00bz to Christ. Without a detailed study of Biblical genealogy, one can easily succumb to the old Earth heresy.
