    i'm new here.

    greetings!
    i am Sandy.
i am coming from Armadale in Western Australia, Australia.
in early 2009 after my business was effected by the financial crisis i discovered the bible and its teachings when the co-ordinator for a local support group handed it to me and said i should give it a read.

i realise my username may seem like i have jumped the gun, however i have been on my journey for quiet a few years now and feel i am well on my way.

while i was reading through the rules, i noticed the rule that said that Americanized english is preferred, while i make the effort to use this version of english, i am constantly scrutinized by everyone around me (being Australian) on the use of certain words and the spelling of such things as color/colour, so please forgive me if it keeps coming through.

my favourite verse would have to be Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

it reminds me of my place on earth, it is under god and that if my head is christ, then it should be speaking his words.

i always felt like i was never where i belonged, this country of mine is filled with roman catholics, pagans and muslims and though i feign tolerance, i never feel comfortable when in their company and hearing about them, their views on preaching the word and lack of the right words disturbs me. also the laws here concerning gun control keep me in a constant state of anger, that i can't defend myself and my family if a crazy person enters my property, so i keep a baseball (our family's favourite sport) bat nearby my bed.

i am happily married to my wife Dawn and my two sons and daughter Alexander, David and Jennifer.

i'll end it there, i have written quite a "wall of text" here.
i hope we can all enjoy the word together and help each other in our journeys.

Welcome to God's favourite forum. It is so nice to see a Godly introduction

I am however, very concerned that you feign tolerance with the heathens around you. Jesus tells us to be proactive in out witnessing and to rebuke unSaved(r) scum.

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

I pray that you can see how much you are hurting the Baby Jesus when you do not rebuke the unGodly.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Welcome, Sandy, to God's favorite forum! That was a thorough introduction. What church do you currently go to?
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Welcome friend! How many joeys are you maturing in your pouch?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

In American English, we use capital letters when using the word "I" and at the beginning of sentences. We also end sentences with periods, not commas. You should try it some time.

                    Re: i'm new here.

Hello. I have not visited Armadale but do enjoy driving out to York with friends and also visit Rottnest Island and Fremantle occasionally. York is a nice town but Fremantle and Rottnest are rammed with the most unmitigated heathens, as is hardly surprising, seemingly drawn from hell itself. Do you encounter such drunken or otherwise intoxicated savages in your area?

Our dreadful island will surely be one of the first to go feral after the rapture (there being so few candidates to meet Jesus in the sky) and I wonder if you have any suggestions about how to avoid being left behind for those of us surrounded by satanic influences night and day (the default condition in my experience here)?

We used to rescue joeys, in the Victorian wheat belt, and let them hop around in the house. They are quite easy to train and become very friendly I have found. Are there any mosques in Armadale, or inter-church fellowships? Satan likes to pretend that there are similarities between different denominations and even with mohammedans or hindoos and it would be helpful if you could let us know how your Pastor views such ideas.

A tentative welcome to the forum.

                      Re: i'm new here.

A hearty welcome to you, Sister.

We are friendly and tolerant here on this site, as you have no doubt noticed, though we are intollerant of sinful behavior and unsaved trash who come here to mock God. Thank the Lord you don't seem to be one of them.

I am moved by your heart wrenching testimony. I nearly wept when you told of your being surrounded by godless heathens. The Romans are really the worst, but I suspect that the Muslims in your vicinity are Chinamen Muslims and they can be nearly as bad.

We are glad to see you here, though you are a foreigner, and I hope that you are able to follow the straight, narrow path, thus to avoid Hell.

                      God Bless!
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11
