greetings!
i am Sandy.
i am coming from Armadale in Western Australia, Australia.
in early 2009 after my business was effected by the financial crisis i discovered the bible and its teachings when the co-ordinator for a local support group handed it to me and said i should give it a read.
i realise my username may seem like i have jumped the gun, however i have been on my journey for quiet a few years now and feel i am well on my way.
while i was reading through the rules, i noticed the rule that said that Americanized english is preferred, while i make the effort to use this version of english, i am constantly scrutinized by everyone around me (being Australian) on the use of certain words and the spelling of such things as color/colour, so please forgive me if it keeps coming through.
my favourite verse would have to be Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
it reminds me of my place on earth, it is under god and that if my head is christ, then it should be speaking his words.
i always felt like i was never where i belonged, this country of mine is filled with roman catholics, pagans and muslims and though i feign tolerance, i never feel comfortable when in their company and hearing about them, their views on preaching the word and lack of the right words disturbs me. also the laws here concerning gun control keep me in a constant state of anger, that i can't defend myself and my family if a crazy person enters my property, so i keep a baseball (our family's favourite sport) bat nearby my bed.
i am happily married to my wife Dawn and my two sons and daughter Alexander, David and Jennifer.
i'll end it there, i have written quite a "wall of text" here.
i hope we can all enjoy the word together and help each other in our journeys.
