The reason I am here is to study the minds of people of the christian faith, I was recently outcasted for coming out as atheist. Now I'm here to start my search, you aren't the only forums I'm looking into. I want to dig deep into the thought processes of people that truly believe that everyone is trash except for them.

Now that that's out of the way I'd like to come out and say there will always be a tiny "spark" deep down but its part of being a skeptic, there's no way to know for sure. Therefore there's always the possibility of such things.

From what I'm gathering here so far is that fear is ALL throughout this forum. Fear of death, fear of hell, fear of gays, other religions, etc.

I get it, death is scary. I'm not here to debate anyone at all but I see jumping to conclusions resulted in a quick infraction. It's fine. I've gathered what I need to know.

Not everyone who doesn't believe in god is "scum". My morale compass guides me the same way as your bible does. I'm also not even looking to mock Christianity.

Looking around your site you do not truly know what Christianity is. Catholics are Christians as it is a denomination of Christianity. Same as protestant, methodist, etc. I'd love to see your counter argument but I'm sure the next one word reply you post will be just a simple no.


On another note what does a church have to offer me that I can't offer myself?

Could I not just sit at home and worship god? Or could I just walk outside and yell I love Jesus? I'm not following why I should have to go somewhere to believe something.

You're making a lot of wrong assumptions, but I'll address only the most egregious.

1. You think fear drives us, WRONG. I'm not afraid of queers or dying or other religions. I'm driven by my love for Jesus.



2. I don't bash anyone and I don't hate anyone: GOD DOES. People will come here and ask "Why are you damning people to Hell?" and I'm like excuse me? Hello? Waaaaaaay above my paygrade!



3. That tiny spark you mentioned? Everyone has that, EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH. That is the spark that causes atheists on their deathbed to cry out for the forgiveness of Jesus.

Does He listen? You bet He does! But what happens if you are physically unable to cry out, or a forklift suddenly falls on your head?

Death isn't scary for True Christians(tm). They know that God will take that invisible part of them (that no one has ever seen or can even prove exists but contains all of their personality, thoughts, memories and emotions) and whisk it off to a city in the clouds with streets paved in gold where they'll each live in a golden mansion and spend 24/7 for the next few trillion years praising God for being the only being Perfect(tm) enough to do so (because He made it that way) and all of this can be yours as well if you believe that a carpenter's son raised Himself from the dead so He could forgive us for the sin of being descended from some dame who ate a fruit she wasn't supposed to because a snake told her to (and all this happened right under the Nose of a Guy who apparently is completely incapable of missing a trick for all of eternity, but just wasn't paying attention right at that time, kinda reminds me of a bit later when someone killed one of only four humans in existence at the time yet He wasn't sure who'd done it til the soil-based DNA tests came back).

So when can Pastor Zeke expect your first tithe cheque?
