Hello people.
I am Brazilian and not a christian and I want to make it very clear that I am happy with my religious choice and do not wish to be converted.
So why joining this community!? We have enough trolls posting trash and unrelated things! The last post before you is called "God is Myth", my God!"
I know, and it saddens me. I do not wish to troll or create troublem. What I wish is understanding. I believe that you heard before people fear what they do not know and from the fear comes the hatred. For this reason I study many religions all accross the world and I finally felt I am ready for the christianism.
You may wonder, why did I chose to leave the christianism for last (I really did. The only thing after you will be the islamism, but they are last because they are the hardest to find resources to study). Well, while you aren't exactly hard to find (really, I have 5 churches near my house), you are the hardest to classify. There are just so many of you... Groups and subgroups and groups inside the subgroups that form more groups! And they are all so different in what they preach and what they expect from the followers. Overall, Jesus and His (gotta get used to use the capital H around here...) words are word-wide known for being words of peace and love, but the hatred many people, including in this forum. Why is that?
Also, I realized overall this community has a strong sense of patriotism. While this is somewhat common among North Americans, it seems particularly stronger among your ranks (however, it might be merely the particular opinion of the people's posts I read and not representing this group as a whole).
And for now, as a last question to you, you seem to have a strong "belief" in the capitalism and in many places have I seen an association of the communism with the satanism. I do not think the capitalism is a God supported idea nor do I think it isn't, for the Bible being written before the whole "capitalism" concept became an actual thing.
Thank you, sorry for any grammar mistakes and for writing such a huge wall of text. I know it is tiring to read something this huge but I'll be grateful if you take the time to read it all and answer my question in a civilized, non-agressive way.
