Dec. 10, 2006 — It's supposed to say sweet things to little girls like, "You're a wonderful friend," but push its button the wrong way and the Little Mermaid Shimmering Lights Ariel doll may say something else — "You're a slut," according to a California mother whose allegation came to light in a newspaper report.

Herrera said she discovered the fluke when her 3-year-old daughter, Juliana, was pressing the button quickly so she could skip the phrases and get to the melody. Instead of just moving to the song, Herrera said her daughter got the wrong message.

"I was in absolute shock," said Herrera, "especially after my daughter repeated it."

Mattel has asked Herrera to return the doll, and the company has offered her a voucher for a toy of equal value.

Mattel currently has no plans to recall the toy, since the company has only received one complaint.

Ariel is a character from the Disney-produced film, "The Little Mermaid," and Mattel has a licensing deal with Disney to produce the doll. Disney is the parent company of ABC News.

How surprised can we be? The Disney company is well-known for its support for the sodomite lifestyle. Keep all mermaid dolls away from your children!!

Satan is trying to snatch our little ones right from their cribs enticing them with damnable witchcraft and sorcery. Absolutely horrible. Surely something should be done to all those Satana Clauses recommending this item as a gift. Those books and movies were bad enough when aimed at an older age group. ok its quite apparent that most of you people, whom i shall refer to as the unwashed masses from now on, would much rather see the world thrown back into the dark ages.
Further more, what is your grand boner against christmas, if my memory serves me correct, it is a christian holiday, not that i support that completely, but seeing as how i really dont feel like shattering the fragile world that you call a religion, i shall restrain from telling you the truth.

There are so many games for children that somehow seem to draw the certain male 'no no' organ in the games. I can't believe it! I won't allow my child to have a television, I will never let him have a game system. Just take a look at some of the titles that have the male part in them.

-Super Mario ds ( has a background, i hear, have not seen that's all male parts!)

And While we are are the subject of toys, do you know they market witch boards to children? I can't believe this when I was my nephew with one, I admittedly ordered my sister to burn that thing! I can't believe that trying to communicate with the passed is an appropriate game for children! What were they thinking!!!! This is dangerous and warned against in the bible. The passages below are very relevant to this type of game. Parents why buy something for you children that's going is grounds to get them stoned, or on the pathway to Hell. This is not some innocent game. They are moving closer to the when the play trash like this. Save the kids souls and take this game off the market!

I don't think you understand anything you're on about, really.

There were 4 films of Harry Potter when this was game was released, and the years 1-4 mean films 1-4, which were based around school years.

I've read the books... and witchcraft isn't a big deal in the books...
it IS in them, but mainly it's about friendship, caring for each other and defeating your inner demons...
The witchcraft-part is just to make the message sound a bit 'fancier' :-)

After all, nobody would wanne buy a book that's called "Harry Potter and his friends learn all about the evil in the world" :-)
