Just a quick followup to your points (yeah, I'm a bit late to the party, I know):

1. Yeah. Well... did you invent the world apatheism? Actually, it does sum us up pretty well. Probably why New Zealand has relatively few racial and political tensions.

2. Sheep rape? I don't even... you know, if it gets you off to think that, good for you. I suppose something has to.

3. Yeah, these canoes kinda suck as a mode of transport, I'll give you that. Soooo tiring to get around in. If only the Japanese would import some reasonably priced small cars.... oh wait. They have.

I've been waiting for my chance to do this.
I would first like to say, Christianity is SUPPOSED to be about accepting people, no matter where they come from, or who they are. So isn't saying 'God Hates New Zealanders' a little hypocritical, just like pretty much everything else in the Bible?
Secondly, being a New Zealander Myself, I would like to say, p*ffle you. I recently moved to Melbourne, Australia, and encounted a lot of racist comments. People call me 'Sheep-shagger' and 'sheep-raper' for no other reason then I was born in New Zealand, and frankly, I'm sick of these claims. I have no, nor will I ever, had sexual relations with a sheep, or any other animal. (including humans, might I add). In addition, I have never actually encountered anyone who has, or rumors of anyone who has. As 'prehistoric' as we may be, we do not promote, nor support beastiality. Also, although we are known for our sheep farmers, not everyone HAS sheep, nor do we have the most. As it has been stated, Australia actually has more sheep per capita then New Zealand. I'm not saying Australians rape sheep, but why should we be called sheep-shaggers when we have no more sheep, nor reason to 'rape' sheep, then Australians. And besides, the majority of New Zealanders, and people living in New Zealand, do not actually live on farms, nor do they own any farm animals. I know this from actually living there for quite some time.
Now, to the argument earlier, yes, the Europeans did have some trouble with the Maori's, and there has been a lot of prejudiced, but it has now passed. So, sure, there is still a little racism, but it's not like there's pure segregation, like, I'd like to point out, what happened to the natives in America. Yes, the Europeans stole the Maori's land, but the land has been returned, and there are now treaties in place to protect Maori land and heritage.
Now, to the 'Apatheism' claims, I'd like to point out, as a Cantabrian who lived in CHRISTchurch, not everyone in New Zealand shuns God and Biblical beliefs. We have just as many Christians as America per Capita, but we also have a lot more social justice, and we don't bash Athiests just because they don't believe in God.
Finally, to the 3rd 'reason'. Yes, our ancestors arrived in canoes, but if you think about it, Christopher Columbus arrived in a prehistoric boat too. But there are actually more modern means of transport in this day and age. Wake up, we're in the 21st century. There is actually an airline called 'Air New Zealand' which flies quite regularly to other countries, including your 'grand' US of A.

Also, for the record, yes, I am an Athiest. Yes, I am a kiwi. Yes, I am of Maori AND European descent. I'm also 14, gay, and living a happy, healthy life with my Christian mother and Buddhist father. But that shouldn't change anything, should it, because 'Jesus loves all'.

I think Kaika, Owaka, Akaroa, Pahaoa and Tawapata are the places most close to the edge. So try to stay away from those and you should be relatively safe. Unless you decide to dress up as a sheep.
