Re: 8 Reasons why GOD HATES DENMARK!
Every new translate do change a little.
It may not be much, but slowly the meaning can change.
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (King James Version)
28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (New International Version)
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,
29 he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. [a] He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (New Living Translation)
28 “Suppose a man has intercourse with a young woman who is a virgin but is not engaged to be married. If they are discovered,
29 he must pay her father fifty pieces of silver.[a] Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he may never divorce her as long as he lives.
Here are 3 exsamples of changes from translating:
In King James version the man must not put her away (not hide her)
In new international version the man must not divorce her (he can hide her)
In the new living translating the man don't even need to rape the woman, it is enough that they have volunteered intercourse.
