how i determine that im a good person?

maybe from the smiles i put on the faces of my neices and nephews.
the responsible parenting i got from my mother.
the fact that people i don't even know i Latvia. loves and respect my persona for giving their grandson shelter. when he came to my country to study. but had no where to live or no money to live for. i gave that kid a fresh start in life. and for that he and his family is forever gradefull. and i have helped alot of other people in my path aswell.
that i've have overcome the pain of my childhood were i was beaten suvere by the small thugs in my nabourhood just for being smaller whiteer and a bit more chubby. but without ever inflicting that pain on to others.
i never give in the to majority's beleive's
and i hate myself before others.
i repect people and their beleive's (as i tolk your guy's earlier it's not your god i can't relate to it's your way of twisting his so called words into whatever suits you.
i don't have one night stands or casual sex. actually a have keeped my dick in my pants. just becourse of my own moral stands. not the fear of a gods wrath.
and i have never crushed skulls of weaker animals or persons then my self becourse i don't beleive in inflighting unessasery pain on anything. (as i read that you used to do untill your father gave you a gun
oh yeah and i don't beleive in the use of guns. do i have the urge to kill anything i'll do it while looking them/it in the eye's.

in denmark we have som christians walking from door to door from time to time. if i were to act like your i was to yell them in their face and slam the door. but no i stop for a minute i like talking to people exspecialy people who's not like me. i find that educating even though we don't have the same beleives i can expant my way to look at the world and what surrounds me seems to me like you guyes are just a bit scared of the state of your world. and that is totally understandable. the world is a cruel place. you are living for that one goal. getting in to heaven thats understadable aswell. but then maybe you could understand that the hope of heaven is not enought for me. i have to do things for this world. try to spread a bit of love in this materialised shithole we call earth. the faith of a god is not enought to get me true the day. and it really sadens me to see that people can be good even without the help of your book. im trying to be a good person in this life and if im going to hell for being that. well in the end for my concern its worth it. if im to be punished for following my own gut feeling of what right and wrong is. thats a price im willing to pay. ill take on that punishment.

It sounds that you have endured much on this earth but the Bible says that good works on their own is nothing without faith.

The Bible does recognize good works but they must be accompanied by faith. So you are off to a good start.
