It gives me such pleasure to see Christianity from around the world and I am amazed how God is able to take creatures from third would countries, get them standing on two legs long enough to praise Him. Miracles do happen!

Stupid people, full of prejudice in they're mind. This is what you can find in a american religious community on the internet. I don't really think that any of these people describing Portugal actually have ever been there.

Here I could see some unfortunate attempts of describing Portugal with videos that are supose to be from portuguese TV broadcast but actually are old spanish TV shows (yes, portuguese is a different language) or with videos of a portuguese TV show celebrating a different culture, the galician (we do that kind of stuff) with a spanish guest from Galicia (in Spain they speak more languages than Castilian AKA Spanish, such as Galician) diminishing our language or even saying that we can't speak Spanish when we try (referring to the galician guest).

Beyond all this and even more sad is the title of this thread leading to all this nonsense. Lazy??? In Portugal people work more hours than in most of the EU countries. Rude??? Only if you are rude to us, then you bet we can get pretty rude, one thing people don't like is tourists treating locals like they're servants. Ugly??? Did you really get out of your hotel?? (in case you really spent you holidays in Portugal). And the final joke coming from an american... "Drug selling catlics"... Oh well, where to start?? Maybe from the tremendous drug consumption in all USA, not only cannabis, I'm referring to harder stuff. Or maybe I could talk about the weapon industry and domestic commerce leading to massacres in, just imagine, High Schools.

If you don't like other cultures or expect people will treat you has a king or queen just because you are an american idiot (with all respect for those who aren't), please do a favour to your self, don't leave your country.

Easy there, people. I think we should spread love and forgiveness to people rather than fighting each other.It does not matter if one is Portuguese or American or Indian like myself. And when Jesus came to save us from our sins, He saved us from all our sins and showed us that He will forgive us just as we are, regardless of our nationality or anything else, since we all are sinners after all.

Jesus came to show us the way to salvation. Salvation is for those who pay attention, not for everyone and, in truth, most are never saved and have to go to Hell with the Devil.

I would also point out that we ask newcomers to make an introduction. We'd like to know your congregation, how you came to find Jesus and any other odds and ends you'd like to provide. For instance: What is your tribe? Do you still scalp White men? If so, do you use a stone knife, a steel trade knife or a casino?
