Sorry, but aren’t you the one causing the confusion?

First you imply that Portuguese found America, while actually Italian captains (sailing under the Spanish flag) found the continent and realized it is a new one.

Then you imply that Portuguese had maps enabling others to find America; why didn’t they rather find it on their own?

Then you mock Americans for not being able to find Portugal on maps - even if it’s a way, way smaller spot on the map than the whole American continent.

You don't make any point whatsoever.

I never implied portuguese found america. I know it was Colombus. I also know that nautical maps drawn by portuguese sailors were used to find america (just a remark, nautical maps don't show were land is, they simply indicate tides and wind directions).

Tell me if I was to show you a map, were you able to pinpoint Portugal? And yes it is a small point on the map, but a very strategic one for americans, as they rented our military base in Lajes, Azores (one of the islands that belongs to Portugal)

Oh and the videos MisterM posted were spoken in italian, not portuguese.

I'm not prejudiced. I know that many people can't find Portugal on a map. I'm glad you know where my country is. Hope you can visit and enjoy all the great things this country has to offer.

As I said you all should probably read more. There are more drug addicts in the US then in Portugal, there are more people living on welfare in the US then in Portugal. I also must add that I get up at 7 am every day to go to work and get home at around 6 pm, I've never used drugs, nor lived on welfare. Also I've always paid my taxes and never stole nothing from no one. Like me there are thousands of portuguese all over the world. Of course there are a few that steal, live on welfare and don't work. But an entire people shouldn't be judged by the misdoings of a few.

You're still missing my point; if you're neighbor is a lazy welfare queen who mooches off the life blood of the rich to buy her unemployed sons steak dinners you still consider them a Portuguese, right? Well it doesn't work that way here in America - anyone who is lazy enough to be unemployed gets kicked out of my community and go fend for themselves out of the prairie like the human trash they are.

Of course there are some cases of bad people that belong in jail. But tell me how many sex offenders are there in the US? As i said earlier you can't judge a people by the offenses of a few. There are bad people that should be arrested everywhere.

If I am wrong, then show us where the Bible disagrees with us and even uses the term "unconditional love" or anything like it! Jesus says we are to love our neighbors and God. Then He goes on to define neighbor using the parable of the Good Samaritan, which excludes most people from the definition of neighbor.
