I go to a 'baptist' church that actually preaches the love of God (like all other Christian churches) You are a minority of messed up Americans that somehow think you are better than everyone else and have the most controversial, messed up beliefs, that give all other Christians a bad name, many people have come to Christ through our Church and many others. You're cult is doing the opposite and turning many away. You are an example of a brainwashed cult of people, you are using the name of God to help Satan.

I'm sorry your church likes to whisper sweet lies into your ear instead of the truth of God's Holy Word in all of its majesty. I guess your "pastor" skips over the scriptures brother Billy Bob posted for you.

Also, I don't care even in the slightest if the world hates me. If they don't, I am not doing Christianity right. You are a fool if you think Jesus was some hug dispenser. He was anything but. Jesus was a harsh task master who didn't mind calling a spade a spade.

Anyone who would be repelled by the Word of God is clearly unfit to enter into His congregation anyway. That would include race traitors as well.

Are you really saying that we should lie about what the Bible says in order to attract more people into a false church? I would laugh, but I don't find leading children into Hell very funny.

If you insist on taking the wide road to Hell, please do so quietly, and leave us True Christians(tm) to educate our children and our communities as we see fit. I don't care if you want to exercise your free will by damning yourself, but when you start preaching lies and dragging others down with you, that's when it is my Christian duty to intervene.

          I'm sorry you can't read.

I read your article Pastor, the one that explains who our neighbor's are. Not only have I read it a few times, but I read this to my wife. She actually thanked me for sharing this with her as she's been concerned about the amount of time I spend reading the material of this site to compliment my daily studies.

The part about 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 had taken up much of my time a couple months ago. It tugged at my conscience, I was torn between this and a loved one who refuses to repent, but professes themselves Christian. Not only this but they're in the ministry. I have since ceased from going to this Church, and returned to my former Church where I first came to the Lord. Your article reassures me of the correct decision that I made.

          Thank you.

Listen to this two talking! I can't understand a word nothing of nothing.

I would like to suggest that before you make any assumptions regarding a subject you would please check your sources.
Have you noticed the G, in the right upper corner of the screen? That G stands for Galicia tv. Galicia is an autonomous community in northwest Spain, with the official status of a nationality. It comprises the provinces of A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra, being bordered by Portugal to the south. Galicia's inhabitants are known as Galicians.Galicia has two official languages: Galician (Galician: galego) and Spanish (known in Spain as castellano, "Castilian"), both of them Romance languages, the former originated locally, the latter born in Castile. Galician is recognized in the Statute of Autonomy of Galicia as the lingua propia ("own language") of Galicia. Galician is closely related to Portuguese. Both share a common medieval phase known as Galician-Portuguese. So what you hear in this video is two languages. You can hear the blonde hostess speaking portuguese and the male host speaking Galician. The male host is present a famous Fado singer, I assumed he was invited by the network to do a special presentation on Galicia Tv. It is true the Galicians are Spanish, but make no mistakes because once in Galicia, even though it belongs to Spain, everyone will speak to you in Galician.
Now, you may ask: what is the reason for this? I'll try to explain:
After the Roman invasion, Latin gradually became established in the Iberian peninsula and finally replaced the native languages. When the country of Portugal was founded( 1143), it adopted its own particular Romance, which was essentially Portuguese, as the national language. Further to the north, the region of Galicia where the same Romance was spoken, remained politically subjugated to the kingdom of Leon and Castile.
Now, I would like to stress that in 1143 Spain, as a country, does not exist. In those days the Iberian Peninsula was composed of several kingdoms. Portugal, Galicia, Leon, Castille, Aragon, Navarra, the Catalan Counties and Emirate of Granada which was the only independent Muslim realm in Spain. So when does Spain as we know it today, becomes Spain. Well it might surprised you that it was only in the second half of the 15th century. In 1469, the crowns of the Christian kingdoms of Castile and Aragon were united by the marriage of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon. 1478 commenced the completion of the conquest of the Canary Islands and in 1492, the combined forces of Castile and Aragon captured the Emirate of Granada, ending the last remnant of a 781-year presence of Islamic rule in Iberia.
The unification of the crowns of Aragon and Castile by the marriage of their sovereigns laid the basis for modern Spain and the Spanish Empire, although each kingdoms of Spain remain as separate countries, in social, political, laws, currency and language.
Now, this means that throughout the Middle Ages and into the modern era the Spanish lexicon absorbed vocabulary, from the neighboring Romance languages—such as Navarro-Aragonese, Leonese, Aragonese, Catalan, Portuguese, Galician, Mirandese, Occitan, Gascon, French, and Italian. Even today in the modern era, in Galicia they will speak Galician, in Catalonia, catalan, in the Basque Country you will speak basque.
Now can you please explain me why in Portugal, founded in 1143 (when Spain it is just a mirage) and having influenced the language which is now known as Spanish, would people speak Spanish. In Portugal we speak portuguese.
Portuguese and Spanish are not the same and are not that similar. From the pronunciation to syntax to the grammar to the vocabulary and including the slang, it’s not right to confuse the two! Spanish-speakers won’t appreciate it and neither will Portuguese-speakers when you visit their countries. Additionally, there are enough differences to deal with when looking at European vs. Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish from Spain versus from Latin America.
Now, what do they have going for them that helps one person learn the other? Mutual inteligibility, principally in written form, can be helpful due to the fact that the two langauges can be categorized under the same sub-family of languages called West Iberian.

              tl;dr

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. We're right and you're wrong, according to Jesus and the Holy Word of God. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .

If you want to debate people, THIS is the place to go.

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.
              Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

I stopped reading this boring post after the first sentence. Who cares about why a bunch of poor slobs don't speak Spanish. Why can't they just speak English, like God intended. If God wanted us to speak Portuguese, it would have been the King Ferdinand Version (KFV 1611) instead of the King James Version. God picked James because he spoke English, in preparation for the colonization of the American continent to form His favorite country, America.

But I digress. All I got from this boring history lesson is that the only thing the Portuguese ever did was NOT speak Spanish. Beyond that, they have accomplished nothing.
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

Truly, english is a beautiful language. I love english classic authors. I specially like to read the classics in english and then compare the spanish and portuguese translations. It is interesting to compare Bible translations as well

Actually no, Portugal was created in 1143, in a time when what was to become "Spain" was composed by 6 different kingdoms. Spain gained it's current shape and size in 1492, after the emirate of Granada was conquered. After that all muslims were either expelled or forced to convert.
I am sorry that you had such a bad experience in Albufeira.

Not only that, but the Portuguese are actually bad enough to claim they have their own language! They don't. They just speak Spanish. Except that they are all so drunk all the time, they can't pronounce the words properly. For example.

SPANISH: Pero, a pesar de esta variedad de posibilidades que la voz posee, sería un muy pobre instrumento de comunicación si no contara más que con ella. No wonder something like 10% of their population lives abroad!
Are you by any chance interested in knowing why People in Portugal are so catholic?
Well it might came as a surprise but we owe that to the Muslim invasions.

In 711, Muslim troops, mainly North African Berber soldiers with some Arabs, crossed the Strait of Gibraltar and began their conquest of the Christian Visigothic Kingdom of Hispania. (The Visigothic Kingdom was a kingdom that occupied what is now southwestern France and the Iberian Peninsula from the fifth to the eighth centuries AD. What is today Spain and Portugal)

Well, obviously the inhabitants of the Iberian Peninsula were not exactly happy with being conquered. So, they decided they would fight back.

After the Muslim conquest of Hispania, the first steps in what has become known as the Christian Reconquista ( reconquer), was begun by bands led by Pelagius of Asturias. Amid several steps back and forward, the Christian kingdoms of Asturias, and later León, Navarre, Aragon, Galicia and Castile managed to increasingly control larger parts of the peninsula, starting from the north.

The story of Portugal starts here. Towards the close of the 11th century crusading knights came from every part of Europe to aid the kings of León, Castile and Aragon in fighting the Moors. Among these adventurers was Henry of Burgundy, who, in 1095, married Theresa of León, natural daughter of Alfonso VI of León. The County of Portugal was included in Theresa's dowry. Count Henry ruled as a vassal of Alfonso VI.

His son Afonso Henriques (meaning "Afonso son of Henry") would proclaim the independence of what was the county of Portugal and become the first Portuguese king. This Status was recognized by Léon and Castille in the Treaty of Zamora in 1143. Afonso Henriques declared the country a servant of the church, dedicated to outsing the infidel. This was line with church philosophy, demonstrated by the creation of the Knights Templar in 1128.
This is also the reason where there are so many ancient churches in Portugal. If one manages to conquer a territory to the Moors, he has to show God his gratitude and build a monumental church. After all he will only succeed with God by his side

The Portuguese Reconquista ended in 1255, when all the Moors were expelled of what was know Portuguese territory. The territory that would become Spain was only able to expel all the muslims in 1492 ( which is when Spain emerges as a country)
                                Exodus 22:18
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
