That's a good question. The reason simply revolves around this: We True Christians(tm) follow all of the Bible, word-for-word, neither adding or removing anything from it. The incredibly vast majority of "Christians" outside of our church fail to do so. Whether it is Catholics praying to Mary, even though the Bible says we should only pray to Jesus (1 Tim. 2:5), or some liberal church that welcomes sinners in their church (2 John 1:9-11) all these other churches fail to follow the Bible accordingly.

Why is it important to follow all of the Bible? Because God commands you to!

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Around here True Christian(TM) means that you have proven yourself a True follower of the KJV1611 Bible, there are True Christians of course who do not post here. Pastor Anderson of Arizona comes to mind. Unless you claim to speak for GOD, or can guess what He will and wont do, then yes you do need scripture. Scripture or it didn't happen.

Heaven and Hell are certain. Nobody gets into Heaven unless they get on their knees for CHRIST and let Him fill them up with His goodness.
