Thank you for your concern, Sister! I will admit that I have found it baffling that he hasn't proposed, especially since his parents always told him that he has to get engaged before Michel does, and it seems like her suitor really wants to marry her. He is an honest, Godly man who has said that he is looking for a wife, but he wants to be sure that he picks the perfect one. I was hoping that Friday night's dinner was his much-awaited sign from God that he should propose, but I feel like he would have done so by now. Thank you for your prayers, I greatly appreciate them.

Perhaps you could try the ¨bacon approach¨. Bacon makes everything better and everyone likes bacon. If you try the recipe in the video below a few times the guy won´t even be able to get away from you

Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Best wishes for the people in Ukraine.

Oh, my! What a delicious-looking recipe, Roland! Samuel loves bacon and I am considering adding some to my stuffing in the future.

Michel's father tried the stuffed pork loins and he would like me to show her how to make them. I will be teaching her how to make them today, but her stuffing leaves a lot to be desired, so we might be working on that for a while.

My apologies for double posting, but Samuel wanted me to share the recipe for the pie that I served on the night that he proposed to me. Ladies, I hope your men enjoy it as much as my man does.

          Ingredients:

          -Homemade pie crust (not bacon)
-Dough circle to put on top of pie
          -1/4 pound of beef (pre-cooked)
          -1/4 pound of pork (pre-cooked)
          -1/4 pound of chicken (pre-cooked)
          -1/4 pound of bacon (pre-cooked)
          -2 large carrots
          -2 cups fresh peas
          -2 potatoes
-1 large bowl of homemade gravy (I'd give you my recipe, but it's a family secret)
          -Salt
          -Pepper

          Instructions:

          1. Heat oven to 425 degrees
          2. Cut beef, pork, chicken, and bacon into small pieces and add to the gravy
          3. Stir the meat and gravy until the meat is completely covered
          4. Repeat step 2 with the carrots and potatoes
          5. Mix the carrots, peas, and potatoes in a separate bowl with some salt and pepper
          6. Add the vegetables to the gravy and stir until they're covered
          7. Pour the gravy, meat, and vegetable mixture into the pie crust
          8. Cover with the circle of dough and seal the edges of the pie. I use the tines of a fork to press the edges together
          9. Brush melted butter over the top crust
          10. Cut a slit in the top crust. If you want, you can cut a cross in the top crust instead.
          11. Put the pie in the oven after it has reached 425 degrees
          12. Let the pie cook until the top crust is golden brown
          13. Grab your oven mitts and take the pie out
          14. Let the pie cool either on a cooling rack or on a windowsill
          15. When the pie has cooled, cut off a large slice and serve it to your man with some gravy on the side. If you have any leftover beef, chicken, or pork, serve it on the side as well. Any leftover bacon can be crumbled up and served on top of the pie.

          Enjoy!
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Thank you, Sister! Samuel grilled some beef, chicken, and pork yesterday and asked me to make a pie with them tonight. He also requested that I substitute my usual gravy with beef gravy, so I'm praying that he will find the end result to be as satisfactory as the original version.

As I said in my thread about Samuel, he has a sister. Her name is Michel and she's 18 years old and unmarried. She's a lovely blonde-haired, blue-eyed young woman with wide hips and a talent for sewing and yarnwork. Her cleaning abilities are decent, but her cooking skills leave a lot to be desired. She has only recently learned how to use a whisk (disappointing, I know). I was going to teach her how to make pie yesterday, but something came up and she will be unable to visit me for a few days. My goal is to make a list of simple and delicious recipes that I can show her how to make when she returns. I have a few ideas in mind, but I'd appreciate any suggestions or recipes.

                Thank you!
I had some of this last night.

                Ingredients
                For the spotted dick
                300g/10oz plain flour
                10g/2 tsp baking powder
                150g/5oz shredded suet
                75g/3oz caster sugar
                110g/4oz currants
                1 lemon, zest only
                200ml/7fl oz milk
                butter, for greasing
                For the custard
                200ml/7fl oz milk
                200ml/7fl oz double cream
                6 free-range egg yolks
                75g/3oz caster sugar

                Preparation method
For the spotted dick, place the flour, baking powder, shredded suet, caster sugar, currants and lemon zest into a bowl and mix to combine.
Add the milk and stir to make a soft dough.
Grease a pudding basin with butter and spoon the mixture into the basin. Cover with a piece of folded greaseproof paper.
Tie around the edge with string to secure the paper and place a damp tea towel over the top. Tie once more with string to secure the tea towel.
Place the basin into a large lidded saucepan and fill the pan two-thirds of the way up with water.
Cover with the lid, bring to a boil and simmer for one hour.
For the custard, place the milk and cream into a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
Place the egg yolks and sugar into a bowl and whisk together until light and frothy.
Pour the hot milk onto the eggs, a little at a time, and stir well. Pour the mixture back into the pan and cook over a low heat, stirring with a wooden spatula, until just thickened.
To serve, slice a wedge of spotted dick for each person and place onto each of six plates. Pour over the custard and serve at once.

That looks delicious, but it doesn't seem appropriate for a Christian woman to make. My father has always been suspicious of custard, so I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to make it.

That looks delicious, Pastor Ezekiel! Perhaps I'll try making it for Samuel tonight.

I would hope not. It's a good thing spring rolls don't have any of those as ingredients.

Honestly, what makes dogs sacred? Just because they're widely domesticated? They're animals, just like every other cow, chicken, and pig. Different cultures aren't bad, especially when it's something as benign as food. Try it.

My favourite food is okra and tomatoes. Many Rastafari eat this every day.

Get some tomatoes and put them in a pot. Mash them up a little and then turn on the stove and cook them but put some okra in them at the same time. The secret is to put in a little salt and pepper. Some people like to eat this tasty dish with boiled or fried squash or it is delicious over rice.

This food will make your naps grow long and kinky for healthy dreads.
