It's not too early to raise your children properly. Read this insightful thread to learn how and why to start hitting your child with a rod 16 weeks before birth.

      Proverbs 23: 13
Withhold not correction from the child: for [if] thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

I wouldn't be so quick to make that conclusion. I thought Mr. Etheldreda was as manly and Christ-oriented as Tim Tebow, but it turns out the good people of Landover Baptist Church were right on the money. After some private, intense, counseling, I am happy to share that Mr. Etheldreda is now confirmed, 100% normal! And although the cost was more than I had anticipated (for the expenses you know), the guaranteed Salvation© is more than worth it!

              Mrs. Etheldreda:

After reading this thread and showing it to Mr. Arends, we have decided that this is the right route to go. Also, this is easier for Mr. Arends as after the baby is born he will have to hit me and the child separately.

Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.

              Yours in Christ,
              Mrs, Carol Arends

I think I'm one of the lucky few that married a truly terrific woman. She never needs a firm hand of discipline. But if it were ever to come down to it I'd probably just paddle her behind. I mean, why would I want to risk damaging body parts that were meant to be used to clean the house/cook/care for the children? That seems almost silly to me.

Never forget Proverbs 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

Women are vain, spiteful creatures prone to emotional outbursts and knee jerk reactions such as divorce.

NEVER trust a woman you don't trust.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Yes, I agree you are right. But I've only ever needed to tell her once exactly what I wanted, she agrees without question and never forgets because she writes down all my demands so she never slips up.

Before I became a member here, I too had been lulled into thinking my wife was nearly perfect, never needing my corrective hand, always doing as I directed with a smile on her face.

However, I have since become a stronger Christian, and I am recognizing and been alerted to certain signs of insubordination. I used to let her slide if dinner was a few minutes late or not prepared to perfection. I weakly looked the other way if my drawers were not properly starched or it there was dust behind the refrigerator.

Thanks to the guidance I have received here, I now find several reasons a day to cuff her briskly. If you look hard enough, you will always find something not quite right. At first she seemed a little sullen about it, but now she knows I do this because I love her enough to direct her to improve, and there is always room for improvement.

So, thank you Landover Baptist Church for making me see I was being a lazy neglectful husband, but have now seen the light and now run a much tighter ship for The Lord. Hallelujah!

I always make sure to correct my wife in front of my sons so that they can be led by example and learn how a loving husband cares for his wife.
