If you look at what the Bible actually says (instead of your attempt to misquote God): Deuteronomy 17:15 (King James Version) Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. Everyone can clearly see this is about Kings. In case you failed to notice that, we do not have Kings in America. Perhaps you ever heard of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776?

Let's make very clear what we are talking about here. I am against child abuse and I am against corporal punishment. These crimes are also clearly against the law in Iowa. You choose to ignore 1 Peter 2:13-17 and Romans 13:1-7 which clearly apply here.
