Modern Medicine and Doctors or Jesus Poll?

This recent survey states that 57% of people questioned chose Jesus over Doctors. Although, I fear most if not all of these people are closet Christians who just seek to feel the power of Jesus when in need.

When it comes to saving lives, God trumps doctors for many Americans. An eye-opening survey reveals widespread belief that divine intervention can revive dying patients

When Jesus cured me of my faggot-ness I was finally convinced. Now I use Jesus to help me with EVERYTHING. My neighbour is the same way. She was diagnosed with the "colon cancer" by some lunatic atheist trash doctor a few months ago. 3 months later, and a lot of prayer, she is on the road to recovery.

Think of poor Terri Schiavo. :-( She was getting better. Little by little everyday.

I'm not sure that's the most charitable interpretation, Brother Wright. Rather, doesn't God gift us with these hopelessly mangled children as a way to show the lax Christian His glory and love?

As for the families involved, I am not at all surprised. Doctors keep telling us that they don't know everything, but the Bible tells us that God knows everything. Are people going to trust the apprentice or the Master? The physicians only have a very very good idea that these brain-dead, multiply amputated, bedsore-ridden infant victims of unforeseen and ridiculously unfair accidents have no hope of a self-determined, pain-free existence where cruel and complicated machines no longer perform every basic action necessary to support some feeble approximation of life. Is it any wonder that parents doubt them? Only God knows that they have no hope.
Acts 13:8 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Mister Brasil, your Christian love for the injured astounds me.

A school fire -- started by a young punk playing with a lighter in assembly, and spread rapidly via the low-cost, easy-care, but highly inflammable polyester school uniforms -- in North Salem put 47 children into the hospital yesterday. Most are not expected to survive; those who may will likely be multiple amputees or otherwise horribly deformed and disabled for life, according to the "doctors".

Would you be willing to come to my church and aid me in delivering an inspirational message to the children in the county burn ward? I believe your sensitive and loving words could truly lift the spirits of the injured and their families and restore their faith in the unending benevolent mercies of Jesus.

Mister Brasil, Indeed God does gift us with these individuals to show us His abounding love. But my intrepretation only states that these parents who took the survey most likely were not True Christians, but instead just individuals who expect God to pull them out of trouble. I highly doubt 57% in a random survey follow God, they just expect Him to be there when they need Him to be!

Another 47 notches in the belt of socialized education. Reverend Rodimer, I'm tired. So tired.

Sir, it would be an honor to stand next to Ragin' Rod and teach these poor younguns of the fire to come. Still, Indiana is fearsomely far from the animal-lovers of Enumclaw, Wash, and my new-found sobriety has gripped my bowels like Satan's sinister claw. I agree.
God wouldn't have given us these things if he'd not wanted us to have them.

Mister Brasil, I have discussed the issue with the Board. We have agreed to ship you, via FedEx Ground, a case of Depends undergarments.

These should be sufficient to ensure that your bus ride is leak-free.

We will, of course, supply a similar quantity for your return trip!

This is great news. I can't wait to see your sermons in person. I can almost see it now: Reverend Rod, mounting the pulpit and standing erect, your face purple, your open eye glistening with passion, starting slowly, softly, delicately, then quickening until you ram each verse home with such force that those children flinch, your frenzy and fire gathering in pace as your reach your lesson's climax, until, with a final, thunderous "Amen!" you slump, exhausted, and the front row wipes away the foamy spittle that your rousing address has launched onto their cheeks.

Re: Modern Medicine and Doctors or Jesus Poll?

IF YOU'RE SICK ITS BECAUSE JESUS WANTS YOU SICK.
Seeing physicians and their medical quackery is nothing less than dabbling in witchcraft.
Jesus will make you well if thats what he wants.
I don't want to hear any arguments along the lines of 'God gave us the knowledge to heal ourselves'. Thats just nonsense.
Knowledge caused man to be expelled from Eden. The use of so-called 'knowledge' is nothing but a fast track to Hell, racing away as fast as can be from Gods plan.
The only Medical Journal I need is the Bible.
                        Praise Jesus.
The devil, whose business is to pervert the truth, mimics the exact circumstance of the Divine Sacraments. He baptises his believers and promises forgiveness of sins...he celebrates the oblation of bread, and brings in the symbol of the resurrection. Let us therefore acknowledge the craftiness of the devil, who copied certain things of those that be divine."

He already helped them right into the hospital, Duckula. I only hope they will learn their lesson, and find Jesus as a result of this horrible tragedy.

It was God’s will – do you think He was wrong?
                              God help them.
Now you add the words, “God help them.” I often wonder why this is said – perhaps you can help?

What could be the point of asking that? In calling them to Him, God is helping them (to go either up or down or to recover fully or be brain damaged or something) and as His Judgment is Perfect, what could your request to Him mean?

Surely you don’t think that He needs reminding? He is omniscient. Perhaps you are suggesting He is forgetful? This borders on blasphemy!

He does not seek, require nor want your advice, opinion or help – He is The Almighty – He made you. You hear and obey Him, not the other way round.

Are you a Christian or one of those atheists?
