Fellow on Jim Bakker's Show Says Asteroid Will Hit in 2029

This fellow says after the asteroid hits in 2029 Jesus will return and that's kind of the end of things for those not True Christians™. This is exciting news. Do we have any information it is not correct? So far as I know he has information I do not so I'm in no position to argue with him.

Really, Brother Mr Mayor, Sir? I am sure I am not alone among the Ladies of Landover in finding it slightly depressing, as many of us were privately very much hoping it would be sooner. A lot sooner. I know that Jesus will not inflict more than we can reasonably be expected to bear, but the prospect of another eight years of child-rearing moved me to tears.

However, my daughter Hannah, bless her, has referred me to Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

As the Bible does not mention “micro-organisms”, they do not exist.

Germ theory is just that… a theory. Illness is caused by demons, like those that Jesus drove out and into the Gadarene Swine or because it is God showing His Power as Jesus told us in John 9.

God does not need to show His Power from some stupid creatures on an asteroid, and demons can be prayed away.

The only person who knows when the End of Days will come is God. Jesus says this. I happen to know that God has spoken with Pastor Zeke and has given him three dates and none of them are in 2025 or 2029.


I note that the article adds

“Bakker [also] interviewed right-wing conspiracy theorist Steve Quayle [last week], who spent two programs warning about aliens, demons, trans-dimensional beings, and ‘diseases that are designed to initiate cannibalism in human beings’ and turn them into literal zombies.”

This seems eminently more reasonable an approach to the End of Days.

Sister, you deserve many a crown in Heaven (and maybe here on earth, hint, hint), for your efforts in training up Soldiers For Christ. Gestation and birth-giving seem as though they are troubling enough. But to have to endure their childish company for years before they can be left to forage and fend for themselves seems particularly heroic.
