    Gazprom Woos Alaska Amid Chill in Relations With U.S. (Update1)

    Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- OAO Gazprom offered to help Alaska develop its natural resources, as Russia's largest energy producer seeks to expand into the U.S. amid the worst chill in relations since the Cold War.
    State-run Gazprom sent eight senior executives to Anchorage for talks yesterday with Alaska's Department of Natural Resources and ConocoPhillips Chief Executive Officer Jim Mulva, state and company officials said.

          Typical of Ivan the Bear with Snow Covered Boots; the minute he knows The World’s Best Hockey Mum is off choosing fabrics for the Oval Office, he sneaks in through the back-door and robs America of its fuel supplies. I bet they are secretly laying a pipeline direct to Moscow!

          Ha! Just wait until Sarah is back, there’ll be another bearskin adorning her Wasilla Command Post.

            I read about this in Pravda and I am leaving tonight for the Alaskan border. I'll be signaling Gasprom positions to the Alaska National Guard with my cell phone and a butane lighter.

            She was right, gosh darn it. Putin has reared his ugly head. Keep me in your prayers that I may not be observed. It is the Russian practice to throw spies into the same military prison with the drunken conscripts. This is too horrible to contemplate, but the Lord is my Shepherd, praise God.

              I am slightly confused though, I did not think there was such a thing as a sober Russian. Is it just the conscripts that are vodka hounds?
