Belgium: Terror suspects held in police swoop


CNN) -- Belgian federal police arrested three people with alleged al Qaeda links who were close to committing a terrorist act, the official Belgian news agency reported Thursday.

The three had just returned from Afghanistan, and one had been given the green light to carry out the terrorist act, the Belga news agency reported.
That man had recently said goodbye to those close to him, Belga reported.

In all, police detained 14 people who had links to a Belgian branch of al Qaeda, the agency said.

OK, the photo shows she’s got red eyes, so she’s probably deranged and in the thrall of Satan but, nevertheless, she’s a woman.

Are you sure that the fictional police of the fictional country are not just “making this up”? I mean, they are not likely to have put round a “Police artist’s impression of the suspect” are they? Those eyes are the only bit you can see. They could have arrested anyone!

If course not! But there's a roadside stand in France that sells the passports for souvenirs.

I haven't actually seen one, but I think it explains inside that every army that ever existed marched through Belgicum. Even if you are the Japs invading Chinkdom, you have to send a parade of soldiers and a marching band through Belgicum. It's like a tradition. Probably predates even Anthony and Cleopatra Von Bismarck.
