    Obama's lift on abortion bans 'arrogant'

    A senior Vatican official has attacked US President Barack Obama for "arrogance" for overturning a ban on state funding for family-planning groups that carry out or facilitate abortions overseas.

    It is "the arrogance of someone who believes they are right, in signing a decree which will open the door to abortion and thus to the destruction of human life," Archbishop Rino Fisichella was quoted as saying by the Corriere della Sera daily.

    The so-called "global gag rule" cut off US funding to overseas family planning clinics which provide any abortion services whatsoever, from the operation itself to counselling, referrals or post-abortion services.


    Once again the fish-heads in the Vatican prove that they haven't read the Bible: Abortion is Biblical! In fact Jesus said (and He might as well have referred to a certain papist dog in Rome): "[. . .] it had been good for that man if he had not been born." (Matthew 26:24)

          I think the Vatican's definition of "arrogant" is "acts as if Vatican officials are not absolutely right about everything".

          I'm still laughing about a Vatican official decrying "the arrogance of someone who believes he is right". Sounds like someone needs to read Matthew 7.

              I agree with Pastor Billy-Reuben. The Vatican is the Whore of Babylon and they define the word arrogance.

              I certainly do not support the decision our president made, because killing babies is just plain wrong. Even foreign ones. But what burns my britches is how that roman pope has the audacity to try and influence American policy! No cult should be allowed to interfere with or meddle in America's government or culture in any way.

              Jesus will guide us, not His mother.

                              I think it was a mistranslation, he meant to say, "Homersexurality is a cause of global warming"

                                  Hey, Mary-hailer, ever hear of something called the Inquisition?
                                  This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
