Okay, allow me to play DEVIL'S ADVOCATE here, and say that Kelly didn't REALLY have a choice in this. I think she was the unfortunate victim of brainwashing which she endured while filming TOP GUN, one of the most homoerotic movies of all time and a definite propoganda film by a HOMOSEXUAL NAVY ALLIANCE to "recruit" young "seamen" for "cruises".

If any of you have seen this disgusting films you may remember some scenes like...
1) Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer first meeting.
Val: "You need any help?"
Tom: "With what?"
Val: "Have you figured it out yet?"
Tom: "What's that?"
Val: "Who's the best pilot?"
Tom: "I think I can figure that out on my own..."
Val: "I heard that about you....you like to work alone."
At this point, both men stare at each other deeply into each other's eyes. Here Iceman is going beyond small talk and getting personal "you like to work alone" and the hints of homosexual desire in his eyes spill the truth. Maverick plays it off shy, demure, and recipient, as if he is cock-teasing Iceman. Don't believe me? WATCH THE FILM!

2) Later in the movie, as homosexual tension ripens, Iceman, Slider, Maverick, and Goose (all those are really gay names if you examine them) are shirtless, sweaty, and playing beach volleyball with another. More instances abound, but I would hate to offend the minds of my fellow forum members. My point is, I BELIEVE KELLY MCGILLIS WAS A VICTIM OF HOMOSEXUAL PROPOGANDA, and her "choice" is nothing different than a Manchurian Candidate's "choice" of performing an assassination.
