A Little Theology and a Lesson in Tithing

Here is Pastor Jesse Duplantis, a True Christian and friend of Landover.

In a report in Christian News, we read

An Evangelical pastor in the US has said people can “speed up” the process of Jesus returning to earth by donating more money to congregations.

Speaking during a live TV programme Victorython, right-wing evangelical pastor, Jesse Duplantis, said: “I honestly believe this - the reason why Jesus hasn’t come is because people are not giving the way God told them to give."

“When you understand this, you can speed up the time,” he continued.

Of course, he is supported by the Bible:

Mal:3:8: Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Mal:3:9: Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Mal:3:10: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Jesus is unlikely to want to come back to a cursed land, is He?

God may well have created our Earth and all that is in it, but there are the mundane chores - supporting widows and orphans, reforming fallen women, teaching queers the error of their ways and countering Communist propaganda that some men are women and vice versa, etc. This doesn't come free.

And don't forget: The whole purpose of Worshipping the Lord is to bring about the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Jesse will turn over most of his reported $20 million when it will help the rest of us the most. Thank you, Rev. Jesse for this anticipated gift. The rest of us, of course, also need to pay Jesus more in order the persuade Him to return.
