So you married a queer? That explains alot.

Actually, Jesus expects a proper Christian husband to SUBJECTIFY His wife.

    1 Peter 3:1
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands.

Tell the truth now; you're a beard, aren't you.

This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I don't hate Jesus. I have piercings and tattoos because I find them aesthically pleasing.

Am I the only one who thinks that that sounds like some kind of vile mainstream media sitcom? "I married a queer - coming soon to NBC. Starring Pheonix Risen and John Edwards."
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

He's straight. he simply agrees with me that a woman's body belongs to her. He doesn't try to tell me what clothes to wear, what cosmetics to use, where I can go, with whom I can associate, etc. He will tell me if he especially likes or dislikes something, and sometimes I change it to please him, and sometimes I don't change it if it pleases me.
It works both ways. I don't tell him what to wear or where to go, or choose his friends for him. I express my opinion, and sometimes he changes things to please me, and sometimes he does what pleases him.
He has a life of his own, I have a life of my own, and we have parts of our lives that we sahre with each other. It works for us.
            We have affection, not subjection.

Tell the truth now; you're a beard, aren't you.

Nope - hubby is the only one in our house capable of growing facial hair.

Well, at least you didn't marry a Wiccan. He'd want to "stew" your body.

According to the description of that hellhole you live in, it sounds like your husband is probably also the only one in your house capable of shaving their legs!

What hellhole? A household where mutual respect is practiced? Trust me, it makes things quite pleasant for both of us.

Friend, Jesus was a RAD DUDE!

                    He had some peircings.

One in each hand, through both feet and also a gouge taken out of his side.

Friend, in the first post in this thread we saw where the LORD said not to do that.

Friend, this is just another example of how Jesus temporarily became an abomination, so you don't have to.

Another example is that Jesus hung from the tree.

Deuteronomy 21:23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God; ) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

Friend, Jesus died for you. He became the thing we aren't supposed to be. Just because He did it, doesn't mean you can do it to.

(and i'm sorry to hear you don't have eyebrows.)

Probably from the comment you made about having no facial hair.

You may decide what you do with your body here in this temporal realm, Phoenix; but Jesus will decide what is done with it for all eternity. You would do well to listen to his instructions before it is too late and your sorry behind has been dropkicked into the lake of Fire.

And I hope that you haven't named yourself after a character in that abomination of a film called "X-men".
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Actually, I like X-men, but no, that's not wher the name came from. When I found out that my ex was being unfaithful, and going through a very nasty divorce over it, I felt as though my world had turned to ashes. I spent a while feeling sorry for myself, until I realized that I was better off without him, and began to live my life the way I wanted to. I took the name Phoenix to signify my having brought myself back to life out of the ashes.

certain irony there Phoenix; only Jesus can truly bring you back from the dead and by abandoning your husband and taking up with another man your actions have preclude Christ from doing that.

My ex abandoned me the first time he crawled into another woman's bed. I am now married to a man who truly loves and respects me. If Jesus would send me to hell for that, so be it.

No, physical bodies are resurrected at the Day of Judgment, at the end of the world. Read your Bible . . .

So God will see then exactly what you did to yourself.
