We need yet another example of why Google is a force of evil like we need holes in our heads, but today I discovered that they have dedicated their company to the forces of atheism, and they have done so openly! Today's Google home page contains one of their infamous "Doodles" in which the change the display of their logo to honoring someone or something. (A quick review revaels much about Google's theology: They are participants in the war against Christmas, they hate America, they worship science.)
Well, today they have taken the cake. They have done a Google Doodle for Nicolas Steno, the bishop who was miracled into "sainthood" by the pope because he tried to undermine God's Word regarding Creationism:

From the articles that they link to:
So Google is worshiping a catlicker whom the pope "saint-ified" because he said "no-duh" things like "the heart pumps blood" and then made crazy stuff up like "The Earth is not as old as the Bible says." While some may applaud Google for exposing catholic insanity and self-contradiction, I see a creeping menace.
Really, Google? You make these things look like comics so kids will read this trash... Really?

Don't feel bad if you've never heard of Nicolas Steno. Even though the 17th century Danish anatomistand geologist made a number of discoveries that are now seen as self-evident – namely, that the heart is a muscle that pumps blood, that tears are formed in the eye, that fossils are the remains of living organisms from previous geologic eras, and that older rocks tend to lie deeper in the earth than younger ones – his legacy, like the mysterious stones that he examined, have since been obscured by layers of historical sediment.
Perhaps some of Steno's obscurity arises from his failure to fit into a narrative that science and religion are adversaries. Unlike Galileo, whom the Catholic church famously threatened to torture if he did not recant, Steno was embraced by the Vatican. Yet his discoveries set in motion a revolution that would ultimately unseat the Bible as the authority on the age of the earth.
