Dedmon's admission that he killed Anderson because of his race doubled the teen's penalty under the state's hate crime statute.

This just does not seem fair. Do they double the sentence if a nigra kills a white boy?

The idea of giving extra punishment for hate crimes is wrong.

I mean, I'm all in favour of harsher punishment for EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. AND I MEAN EVERYTHING. But not hate crimes.

Now how is stoping someone who might potently rape your mother or sister and steal all the pies in your house for crack cocaine be considered racists? This country has gone mad. All this brave teen was doing was standing his ground when he went 10 miles out of his way to randomly select Anderson, beat him sense and run him over with a truck.

Anderson was a 50 year old ASSEMBLY LINE worker. That is right, someone who works with his HANDS! The man was a human gorilla and a killing machine. Clearly Anderson was no innocent victim. Dedmond was just being prudent when he hunted Anderson down.

Hate crimes laws are really thought crimes laws.

Once you start criminalizing thoughts, where will it end? Next thing people who assault people while thinking of murder will see their assault charge upgraded to "attempted murder", and people who think about possible crimes with others will be charged with "conspiracy" and muslims who think about islam while they kill people will have their charge upgraded to "terrorism"...

It will be like 1984, and not the good, Chinese kind, (which we should call 4681 using the Chinese calendar).

See, the problem isn't that he killed the guy because of his race, it's that he admitted that was the reason.

Everybody knows that in Mississippi, home state of the Klan, you are supposed to come up with other reasons for bigotry. "I didn't like the way he looked at my woman," for example, or "He had on a stupid hat".

It's very sad that today in America, one is forced to LIE just to get a lower sentence for killing a black man. What has become of this country?
