I was pointed to this site because Australians are laughing at your ignorance. I love how someone said that all Australians are criminals because Australia was used to dump convicts. Well if you Americans knew history the British used America for the same reason.

Anyway how many true English Australian's really exist anymore anyway. My Grandmother has traced our family history back to us arriving on the First Fleet for stealing bread. Not many people can say that anymore. Well now you have myself and my brother to keep the family name going and my mother is an imigrant from Holland so we are both half Dutch. So the true English Australian background gets further and further away. Australia is the most multi-cultural country in the world. A big population are imigrants. To give you all an idea we have a city called Melbourne that's the second largest Greek speaking city in the World (first is Greece). Due to this we live in a country that has a very low race crime problem. Yes there has been things plastered on the News but it is very minimal. The biggest problem these days is a small Lebonese community that are second and third generation in Australia coursing issues. But it's a minority.

As far as the Aboriginals go I totally agree with not apoligising. That said we have different types of Aboriginals. You have the real Aboriginals that still live in remote parts of Australia. These ones don't real cause the problems and can be very friendly people to talk to and learn things from. Then you have the urban Aboriginals. These ones are in the cities that the government gives handouts to and there are lots of them have drinking and drug problems. They don't have a reason to intergrate into sociaty because they have no reason to get a job due to the government handouts for them. Our governments have had this stuck in their heads forever that if they throw money at them it will give them a way of intergrating into sociaty and it doesn't work.

Now back to comparing our problems with America. Look at the problems that America still have with race crimes and racism with their countries native people. America has had thousands of years to intergrate the different races into the general sociaty and there is still big problems with this "blacks vs whites" attitude. Well Australia has only been populated by whites for a couple of hundred years and our issues aren't as big as the problems in America. Give us at least 500 years and see how our issues are then.

What can anyone expect from a "country" populated by criminals? Every person who came to the United States did so of their own free will, wanting to make better lives for themselves and their families. Everyone sent to Autistralia was banished there to protect decent folk from their criminal ways.

Here's a little thing called history. In Australia, where we have a world-class education system *scoff scoff* we get taught the histories of the world.

The First Fleet that came to Australia. This fleet carried convicts accused of some of the most trivial of crimes. You see, back in the jolly 'ol UK, if you did anything worse than stealing a ladie's pettycoat, you got lynched. Most, if not all, the convicts who were taken to Australia were accused of minor crimes that would have been too costly to fill the already overcrowded prisons with.
My family, for instance, has one person, about 6 generations back, who stole a loaf of bread and a petticoat to feed and warm his daughter. He was sent to Aus, his daughter put into an orphanage, and later died there.
The rest of my family arrived as settlers, half went to Tasmania and started Kilbilly Station, the others came to WA, and settled in the goldfields and started a station there.
As history rolled on, more and more settlers arrived, from all over the globe. We have slices of every culture on the planet here. We are THE most diverse nation in the world. Some can say we don't have an "australian" culture, but an "internationalist" culture.

It is true that the US is settled by free people when it started. However your warped perception on the rest of the globe just goes to show that they didn't bring an abundance of neurones with them.

I'm no criminal. The majority of this country are not criminals. To call us that is to directly slander our names and our nation. This is an international crime against humanity under the United Nation's humanitarian laws. It can be taken to international tribuneral, and I hope to hell its taken to the attention of the media.
