Re: Georgia Lawmaker: Make Miscarriages Punishable by Death Penal

I don't think God condones ignorance and false interpretations. The rules of the Bible are to be good to your neighbor, treat yourself and others with respect, and be a good person.

Putting women through the death penalty due to a miscarriage, which is totally beyond their control, is murder. "Thou shalt not kill". You people seem to think that masturbation and sex for pleasure is murder. Ok, so let's just assume that someone from this group gets into a public office and makes masturbation and sex for pleasure against the law. Only sex for reproduction is allowed. Ok, so when having sex, only one sperm goes into the egg. All the other sperm die off. So according to your belief, having sex in general, even for reproduction, is against your beliefs. Billions of sperm going into the womb, and only one gets through to the egg.....sometimes. Or what if someone tries to have sex for reproduction but just aren't successful for years. Would that have been considered murder too?

And praying to not have a miscarriage will prevent it? People just as "religious" as you all are constantly praying for healing and in many cases don't get better. And if they do, it's usually because they actually take good care of their bodies.

I love religion. I love hearing about it, learning more about it, and accepting everyone's beliefs. It is great as an idea, but extremely harmful and brainwashing as a belief, especially something that tries to put someone towards the death penalty for something that's totally not under their control.

I am very open minded, love life, and am a great and friendly person to everyone. Religion causes nothing but despair and hate towards others, which is just the opposite of what the Bible says. If you truly follow the Bible, you will accept people's choices as their own. After all, your own life is more important than others. I suggest trying to improve on yourselves individually instead of spreading hate and injustice to the world, just to show an extremely ignorant opinion.

      Indeed.

Your attempt to summarize the Bible in one sentence completely failed.

Stop making up things and start reading the Holy Bible! Leviticus 19:15 "In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour."

            Potential next steps...
Charging everyone involved with birth control pills (an abortifacient) - manufacturing, storing, selling, prescribing, buying, ingestion - with whatever crimes come with deadly weapons that have one purpose only, the murder of an unborn child.
If any pregnant woman fails to go to a doctor regularly during her pregnancy, she should be charged with criminal neglect of her unborn child. I don't care how "poor" she is, if she has time to spread her legs, she has time to get a job and pay for the doctor.
Maybe we should start looking into extending the right to bear arms to cover our unborn brothers and sisters. As a demographic, they're very likely to be the victims of murder, so they should have the right to defend themselves, in all the ways the Constitution permits.

You've not read the Bible, have you?

Yes, but most of them follow false religions like Islam or Catholicism, so God doesn't care about them.

What does the Bible say? Chapter and verse, please.

Which bit of the Bible says that? Chapter and verse, please.

That is a very hateful and unchristian thing to say. Jesus has counted every hair on your head, you know.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
