  • Interviews with Leadership

I was thinking a nice treat for the congregation might be a series of interviews with senior leadership. From snippets of conversation I overhear, I think there's a lot of interest in topics such as "What does it take to be a success?", "Does he have any tips for people like me?" and "How did he get to be so fabulously wealthy on a Church stipend?".

Perhaps we could do the legwork to come up with some questions worth them bothering answering and then we incentivize them with a business retreat to the Seychelles from which they can livestream answers back to us. We can hold it over the weekend so as not to disrupt anyone's work or Church obligations.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

An idea we should develop, Dr. Tooley. The church leadership and pastors are a source of inspiration for so many. Hearing advice about how to succeed would be a great experience.

It could be a time to mention, as well, why the LBC tithe is so important. These leaders who spend membership money have to have money. Many who listen would be motivated to give more.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Oh my goodness, Brother Dr. Toole, Sir, what an absolutely wonderful idea! Our senior pastors are such very busy men that these days, some of them can barely find the time to answer questions on these Godly forums.

Is it too late to organize this for Thanksgiving weekend? If they left on, say, the Tuesday morning, this would give them time for frank and fearless discussions among themselves before the livestreaming event on, say, the following Monday. Then a couple of days to discuss how the event had gone.

My dear husband says he'd be happy to go along and provide the sort of financial/geopolitical input that nobody wants to trust to a telephone line. Apparently we are considerably wealthier than we were two weeks ago and "It's merely a question of who you know", whatever that means. This is very much in the spirit of Galatians 6:6 - Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

We would of course have to bear in mind the time difference between Freehold and the Seychelles. We wouldn't want the pastors to be tired after a long day.
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Well that depends on us. If we are too lazy to come up with good questions, and perhaps live music, choreographed dance routines, artwork commissioned for the occasion, etc., then it's hard to imagine anyone bothering to phone in.

Sister, this is the kind of detail that the Pastors pay attention to, when they are reminded by underlings. Fortunately Zeke's old G650 has a pressure regulated cabin to minimize body clock disruption. They could even pre-record their answers to account for heavy sleepers (yes, we can hear you in the lower tithing tiers).

          I have a question.

During your mission work, how do you accommodate sinking islands, such as along the Pacific Ridge? Are there attractive objects (other than idols) able to be rescued and how much compensation from the natives should you receive for your efforts in rescuing and preserving their craftwork?

          Attractive
          Ladies Collar
          Attractive
          Gents Cuff
          Idol With
          Serpents
          Thank you.

Hmmm... livestreams can have an unpleasant and unprofessional time lag. Wouldn't it be better to have the answers recorded beforehand? That would also give the pastors the opportunity to discard any questions deemed impertinent and to edit out any candid slips of the tongue.
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
            Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

Excellent idea. We can get the secretaries to write some blurb for the Pastors to approve and record ahead of their important business conference. The ladies can bake pies and the men can set up a stage and a few tents for entertainment, including the main event, the interviews. Tickets will be reasonably priced.

This sounds like a wonderful idea. We'll need to organize a fundraiser to be sure we can afford our pastors' speaking fees. $5 to $10 million ought to do the trick.

Actually, I think the Trump campaign people would be thrilled to be a part of this. I'll put out a feeler that MAGA posters with President Trump's picture could be hung around the venue. We would, of course, need a substantial contribution from the campaign.

I'm thinking we will require this payment in cash. We did some business with a previous Trump campaign which I'd prefer we not discuss here. The only relevance with this great event is we will require cash.
