May Alan have mercy on us all

    [RIDICULOUS GIBBERISH REMOVED BY MODERATOR]
All praise is to Allah, creator of the heavens and the Earth.

    Dear Landover Baptist,

I am very please ld to encounter a group of Christians that truly believe in their scripture and try lo live under Divine law instead of man made law.

However you are in error, for God is One and has no son, no holy ghost, and no companions of any kind.

Jesus alaihi salam is not a god. He is the Messiah, The Christ, and one of the mightest Prophets of Allah. But he is not a god. Your own scripture proves me right.

Gospel of John, Chapter No.14, Verse No.28 – he said…‘My Father is greater than I’; Gospel of John, Chapter No.10, Verse No.29…‘My Father is greater than all’; Gospel of Mathew, Chapter No.12, Verse No.28…‘I cast out devils with the spirit of God’; Gospel of Luke, Chapter No.11, Verse No.20…‘I with the finger of God, cast out devil’; Gospel of John, Chapter No.5, Verse No.30…‘I can of my own self do nothing – As I hear, I judge and my judgement is just, for I seek not my own will, but the will of my Father.’

Jesus [IRRELEVANT REFERENCES TO SALAMI REMOVED BY MODERATOR] is not god. Stop worshipping Jesus and worship God only. Allah, the Lord of the Universe.

    Say He is Allah,
    The One, The magnificent
    Netiher begets nor its born
And there is nothing comparable to Him

Here it lies your real salvation!
All praise is to Allah, Peace and blessings to our beloved Prophet Muhammad [MORE WEIRD DELI OBSESSIONS REMOVED BY MODERATOR]

Great, another person who cherry-picks the Bible to prove a misguided point. In your foolish haste to choose verses that you think suit your purpose, you neglected to read John 10:30, which states that God and Jesus are one. I would also suggest that you take a look at Isaiah 9:6 and John 1:14.
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

I had a panic attack the moment I saw this. I've contacted a pastor immediately to have you reported to the Department of Faith for attempted terrorism on a Christian Forum.

I am afraid you will need to do better to prove to me there is more than One God.

Please show me where Jesus peace be upon him, says clearly: “ I am a god” or “worship me”.

The Bible says clearly there is only One God.

At no point did I say that there is more than one God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all part of the same God. As much as I hate having to take time out of my prayer schedule to do something that you should really be doing yourself, I'll give you a few extra verses. To start, I'd like to point you to 1 Corinthians 8:6, which says that there is one God. Next, I'd like to show you 2 Corinthians 3:17, which says that the Spirit and the Lord (Aka God) are one. I have to start making dinner for my family and a possible new suitor, so I'll leave you with yet another verse that proves that there is one, and only one, God: Ephesians 4:4-6. If you're lucky, the True Christians(TM) on here will take time out of their busy schedules to help you out.
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

You must be one of those spoiled children who always got what she wanted as a child. Not only are your American language skills beyond horrible, you also never learned any manners. No one is going to do your homework. Getting into Heaven is something that requires you to do the work by yourself.

All that is left for you is to spread your legs and hope someone is drunk enough to rape you and then marry you in accordance with Deuteronomy 22:28-29. Then your existence will not have been completely useless.

Whoa! Looks to me like some one got up on the wrong side of town.
Friend, not sure what your major malfunction is but lets see what God says, shall we?

Isaiah 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

John 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
John 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day.

John 12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

1st Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1st Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1st Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1st Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

                    1st Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1st Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1st Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1st Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
                    1st Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1st Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1st Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1st Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
1st Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1st Corinthians 3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
                    Jude 1:17
                    But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Hello .. I'm so happy you're seeking to learn more about God.

The points you've raised have concerned many people, not least among them God Himself. When He rescued The Israelites from slavery (in Egypt) they could hardly believe their good fortune in having so wonderful a prophet as Moses to lead them, who was himself lead by God. You've quoted Moses, the context being just after he'd received God's commandments for The Israelites to follow. Moses has explained quite a lot about God's nature and since you accept Moses as a prophet I'm glad to post one or two verses for you.

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

That does not mean God turned into vodka and floated because vodka is lighter than water. The Spirit is not distinct from God at all. Perhaps the comparison of a sword would be more familiar, you could hold it in your hand (but you are not your hand) and swing your arm (but you are not your arm) and the sword would swing (but you are not the sword) and yet the swinging comes from you and the swinging is in the sword (but the swinging is not the sword) and you are not the swinging either.

The sword is your tool, you grasp it with your hand, you control it through your arm and move it as you please but the sword is not you. Perhaps the sword is a little like the trees?

Re: May Alan have mercy on us all

Imagine my surprise when I logged in to find some unsaved trash asking me for mercy! But then when I thought about it, I realized there's perhaps something to it.

First Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
First Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

As a True Christian™ and a saint, I will one day judge this unsaved soul. He will stand before me, and I will help Jesus decide his eternal fate. All I can say is, if you want me show mercy on that day, stop playing games, son. You know God is real (Romans 1:18-20), there's really no debate. If you want me to be me merciful, simply follow Jesus' crystal clear instructions on how to obtain mercy from Us, and if you're lucky (Romans 9:15), We might grant it.

                            -- Alan.

                              The Israelites abandoned God.

Despite having Him on their side, despite all the victories they had won, what do you think they did? Yes. They made "gods" of the created order, idols, tree hugging, candlelit fertility parties, toadstool punch, things no Christian would ever think of, right in God's face. Moses had made the situation very clear when he'd led The Israelites out from captivity. What would God do?
Judges 3:8b-11a He sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years. And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother. And the.Spirit.of.the.LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim. And the land had rest forty years.

By acknowledging God and following His commandments the adversary is overcome. Chushanrishathaim, in this case, had only the illusion of security. Even today in that part of the world there's idols galore (usually the same idol) and unremitting chaos. Any odd decade of seeming "rest" is overwhelmed by centuries of bloodshed, for a reason. That reason is the same now as it was for Chushanrishathaim. Following false gods.

Before you blaspheme against The Holy Spirit, recall the words of Moses concerning the Spirit of God. Prophecies from Isaiah may be familiar to you including one in an earlier post.

Clearly a child was to be Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The Child would grow. Who could this child be? A child who is God, who grows into an adult, is certainly not some incorporeal spirit. Remember the Spirit of God moving on the waters? Could such a spirit be expressed in flesh and blood? Could this be what Isaiah referred to? Remember the child he describes is Mighty God.
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Now remember that without out a Gospel witness we have no evidence for the existence of Jesus. You may say that they're a corrupt record but then you'd need to explain how come they're corrupt about The Holy Spirit but not corrupt about Jesus. Staying with the witness of John and concerning the nature of God we read:
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

For your claims to hold it's necessary to deny Moses, Isaiah and the Gospel. It has already been explained that indeed God was born as a human baby and that the God in question is the One Creator of Heaven and earth. Who is a spirit. Who blasts idolators with chaos, wailing and mayhem. Can you think of any part of the world like that today?

Rejecting what God has explained about Himself and following made up idols never leads to happiness. It doesn't matter how much punch you drink or how many trees you hug, without The Bible what evidence do you have that God exists at all? Turn to Him today.
