There is a parasite that can control a snail's mind, forcing it to expose itself to predators. This short but fascinating video explains more.
The Bible tells us that what we see in creation reveals the invisible God.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
God lovingly crafted this parasite to feed off and then sacrifice its host so that it can reproduce so that it can feed off and then sacrifice its host. This is an irreducibly complex system. If there were no snails, the parasites would have no host. If there were no birds, the parasites would not be able to reproduce. This can only be explained if God created all animals in a very short time period, as Genesis tells us. Evolution says that snails came first and then millions of years later some dinosaurs sprouted feathers and decided to fly. This makes no sense.
God created all animals as immortal vegetarians. There was no death before the Fall. That's why we don't find any fossils older than 6,000 years. But then death entered the world through sin (Rom 5:12), and then finally, after Noah's Flood, God turned some of the herbivorous animals into carnivores (Gen 9:1-5), and that's when predation and parasitism arose. The creationist model is the only one that makes sense.
