  • Poll: Should Pope Francis tear down his wall?

You know how the Pope said Donald Trump isn't a Christian because Donald Trump wants a wall? Funny thing....

Debating in favor of "Yes" is Ronald Reagan:
"There is one sign the [Catholics] can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. [Your Holiness], if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the [Vatican City], if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. [Your Holiness], open this gate.[Your Holiness], tear down this wall!"

Debating in favor of "No" is The Historical Record:

The Arab raid against Rome took place in 846. Saracen raiders plundered the outskirts of the city of Rome, sacking the basilicas of Old St Peter's and St Paul's-Outside-the-Walls, but were prevented from entering the city itself by the Aurelian Wall...Some basilicas, such as St. Peter and Saint Paul Outside the Walls, were outside the Aurelian walls, and thus easy targets...Shortly after the siege Pope Leo IV built a strong wall on the right bank of the Tiber, in order to protect the Church of St. Peter.
So the Vatican learned the hard way that you need walls to stop Muslims. Then Pope Francis forgot. For such a backward institution, you'd think they would know their own history a bit more...

In God we trust, for everyone else, we need a wall.

Wow, I knew that he drops by the forum now and then, but I didn't expect him to respond so fast! New York Times:
Pope Francis Takes 12 Refugees Back to Vatican After Trip to Greece

MYTILENE, Greece — Pope Francis made an emotional visit into the heart of Europe’s migrant crisis on Saturday and took 12 Muslim refugees from Syria, including six children, with him back to Rome aboard the papal plane.
But really now Frank....You had to go to the island of Lesbos?

      Brother Trent Jr.,

I think that we should assess the Chief Papist Frances's behavior based on the established Catholick tradition of underage sodomy. Deep down (very deep), Frances must understand that the constant abuse of altar boys is, in fact, a sin (1 Timothy 1:10) and he might actually be trying to avoid temptation to get to the right side of our Lord Jesus (Matthew 25:33).

      James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

By visiting the island of Lesbos that has a population consisting exclusively of sodomistic women, Frances can avoid any contact with the (from his viewpoint) fairer sex and thus refrain from lustful thoughts. Of course, Frances's obsessions with Mary-Idolatry (e.g., Acts 15:20) and atheist-mooslim salvation are in direct opposition with the explicit Orders of Jesus (John 3:18), so he is doomed in any case.

Still, a nice try by the Papist Chief!

      Yours in Christ,

      Elmer

They should keep the wall up. Otherwise, no young boy in Rome will be safe.
