    Re: Finding comfort in Facebook

Ms. Moans, The Lord will show you in His own time! Stay True to your standards and you will be blessed!

Psalm 37:7 King James Version (KJV)

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

I was wondering about that kind of quietly.

          Yes Jim,

One of the rewarding aspects of Facebook is the outpour of thoughts and prayers over my family matters. It's heartwarming to see all the unexpected attention that comes my way.

I have also recently joined Facebook and I am shocked at the amount of unsaved heathens that are being suggested as potential friends. How do you handle being friends with so many sinners?
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Well, you're not, really. You're not going to dinner at their house, being invited to weddings, lending them money, etc. You just clicked a button (possibly by mistake, and don't want to offend by "unfriending").

Think of it this way: being "friends" on Facebook has as much to do with being actual, RL friends as "love" in the Bible has to do with actually caring about someone else's health, safety, and wellbeing ahead of their abjecting themselves before your capricious, vindictive, "Jealous" version of a paleolithic creator being.

                Re: Finding comfort in Facebook

Jesus was not a caveman; when He returns everyone will be treated equally according to their deserts. That means a death experience for most people, very unpleasant in most cases after extensive agony
Revelation 9:2c-6 The sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

followed by unremitting torture in the lake of fire. Jesus explained that tooth gnashing is involved and in the future history I've cited you'll notice how God does not want anyone He loves to suffer. These events will be moving from the future historic to the present tense very soon. Rather than seeking comfort in the Facebook, wouldn't you rather accept God's seal in your forehead?

                  • I would love to press my face into God's fore-anything really, Sister Mitza.
I accept so many sinners into my world in hopes that Jesus will come on them through exposure to me. It will be worth it in the end.

                    Re: Finding comfort in Facebook

I'm not sure whether the seal on the forehead is an actual brand. It needs to be identified by the flying scorpions so they skip their 5-month stinging session but don't they have ultra-violet vision or something? There are people who brand themselves but Revelation is not referring to those. If you asked your group what "facial scarification" was someone could provide details but I won't include a photograph (although many are available) due to the recent weather.

Some of those names sound heathenish. Do you mean to say there are foreigners on the Facebook?
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

I am pleased to see that the various funny-named savages who I permit to follow my Facebook are responding positive to mentions of Christ. I feel like a vessel to give His love out to those who might not otherwise have 24/7 access to God as we do.

Let's be honest here. Facebook is the playground of harlots. Many a white Christian man has been led down the path of sin from temptation found there:

How To Find A Prostitute On Facebook
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

You're absolutely right Mayor Hold. I've come to learn this lesson the hard way, and I deleted my account this morning. Sometimes, evil can feel good, but once you let it in, you can opt see the destruction too late. That's how Satan plays his dirty tricks.

Besides, I also can see now how nobody should need attentions from lonely, desperate men, when I have good, handsome Christian men, like your Mr. Hold to break bread with here at Landover.
