Re: The Christian Parent's Guide To Raising Teens

Thankyou Jonichenzion for reviving this thread
My children are just entering puberty, and this thread gives the information I have been searching for. The Lord must have inspired you to bring it to my attention.
Very well thought out Bob4God. I shall be following this, word for word.

What a great guide. My oldest is a teen now and is starting to enter puberty i think. This guide will be very useful.
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

It almost sounds as if you think children hating their parents is a bad thing.

        Clearly Jesus disagrees with you:

        Luke 14:26
        King James Version (KJV)

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

So it's bad I love my parents?

What is important is to obey them.

Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Have you even read the Bible?

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The Word of God is the Word of God, and it says what it says.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

True Christians hate their parents. It's right there at the top of the list. I'll highlight it for you:

                Source: JESUS
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Now people say "Oh, that is a special, magic sort of hatred understood in a special way by Jesus special friends" but this can not be so.

This is a foundational requirement for discipleship. And in the context link Jesus even illustrates what He meant using exactly that example. Foundations. The foundation of faith.

Jesus was not speaking to any sort of "inner circle" here. He was addressing a great multitude. The words He used were words they would all understand. You say you "love your parents" and so you need to explain "what Jesus really meant" by what He said. I don't do that. Jesus words mean just what they say and anyone can understand them.

Rejecting His teaching results in everlasting torture. And deservedly so. Jesus is God; His words are joyous and pure. Are you suggesting otherwise?

                PURITY
                PROVERBS 30
                4
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
                KJV .. look up

                JOY
                JEREMIAH 15
                16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
                KJV .. look up

There is a type of false joy I suppose, obsessing over family members or pets or freaking out at some dubstep orgy. But it is not REAL joy. And it is certainly not pure. We know that because Jesus has told us. If what the world offers as "joy" or "purity" were sufficient for Salvation there would be no point in His explaining The Truth, would there. But He has explained and that is how we know. And that is why we are His disciples.

You can get the tattoo burned off, I suppose. But only by bathing in the Perfect Sacrificial Blood of The Lord Jesus Christ, and then spending the rest of your life obeying every command in God's Perfect, Eternal and Unerring Holy Word, The Bible, can you hope to become a True Christian(tm).

If that seems like too much work, then keep the tattoo and burn in hell forever, your call.

Re: The Christian Parent's Guide To Raising Teens

It is not difficult at all for me to hate my parents, since they are ring kissing papists who embarrass me by going to Rome and believing that a bunch of beads are going to automatically be blessed by sharing the same air space as Ms. Frances, the Pope. If that's not a reason to hate someone, what is?

However, I can empathize with those persons whose parents are loving, kind, good, and are True Christians(TM). It has to be difficult. I have no doubt whatsoever, though, that those with this problem would only have to ask their parents if they also hated THEIR parents, and with the answer, "Oh, of course!" a sense of peace would take over and it would be nothing but hatred from that point forward.

I just love our Lord for making the Christian life so simple and it only takes a little twist and turn to have it all make sense. This is the reason why our God is the only true God. When things are too easy, we tend to not value them. This is but one more way He has us work for our Salvation(R). (Philippians 2:12-13) GLORY!
                      Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
