  • Featured Church of the Day: The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas

Background: A former Albertson's warehouse, in beautiful Flower Mound, Texas, the Village Church includes a 1,400 seat worship center, pre-school and children’s education and a new second floor administrative office space. While the exterior of the building involved minimal updating, the interior has been transformed into an informal contemporary environment for worship and education. Plenty of space in the discount aisle.

Famous for: mishandling a sexual abuse case involving a member's underage daughter and one of the church’s then pastors.

Did you know? Its modern boxy design means it is referred to by locals as the Naadder Dayyum of Flower Mound.

Few people realize the importance of church management in bringing people to Jesus. Every square foot of space has to generate revenue.

The cheaper the building the easier it is to cash flow. Churches trying to compete with Landover Baptist need to use cut rate buildings like abandoned big box stores. We at LBC decided to go high end in both our building and preaching talents. It was the right decision.

What I'm wondering is this: Does a remodeled big box store attract wealthy people to the church? A church doing the work of Jesus like Landover requires high rollers. I'm guessing that abandoned big box has a lot of members we do not want.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Scam Churches like this are like a foot right up my wazoo. Something that I really am not fond of.

Obviously, places like that get the desperate people that think they can Sin and then hit Targets for some deodorant. No one is getting Saved® at either place and the stench of desperation never leaves.
Only at a real House of Worship like the LBC Chrystal Cathedral can having your Sins removed occur. You must be committed. You have give of yourself 125% in every conceivable manner, without question. You cannot 'pop in' for some bunion pads and a dollop of Salvation.
True Salvation™ only comes with dedication.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
