Sarah Palin: Church & State Should NOT be Seperate!

Praise Jesus! Sister Palin is certainly rattling satan's cage with THIS latest speech. I don't like to brag, but she got the theme of her speech from overhearing a certain True Christian(tm) Pastor chewing the fat with her Godly husband Todd...

Palin: Chuch, State Shouldn't Be Separate

This past weekend, speaking at the evangelical Women of Joy conference in Louisville, Kentucky, Sarah Palin implied that the Founding Fathers would have opposed a separation of church and state. "Lest anyone try to convince you that God should be separated from the state, our Founding Fathers, they were believers," Palin told the crowd. "And George Washington, he saw faith in God as basic to life."

Palin's comments hit a tender spot in the national conversation, coming only days after a Wisconsin court ruled the National Day of Prayer unconstitutional. Incensed Palin-watchers on the left have mobilized, taking the former governor to task for her shaky grasp of history (for what's not the first time this week).

Funny Until You Think About It Washington Monthly's Steve Benen has some fun playing Palin's remarks against the historical record: "Thomas Jefferson and James Madison explicitly rejected state-sponsored prayer days. I'll look forward to the conservative explanation of how the Founding Fathers were godless socialists." But the implications give Benen pause. "There are some countries that endorse Palin's worldview and intermix God and government -- Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan under Taliban rule come to mind -- but they're generally not countries the United States tries to emulate."

In a Better World... After obtaining the transcript of Palin's remarks, Greg Sargent at The Plum Line shakes his head at Palin's "substandard history," which he just can't reconcile with her continued political clout. "There was a time," Sargent writes, "when this sort of thing would provoke widespread media mockery and perhaps even be seen as a potential disqualifier for the presidency."

Palin vs. Jefferson, Adams, Half of Tea Party Keith Olbermann takes the research route, putting Palin's comments in dialogue with the writings of Thomas Jefferson--specifically, Jefferson's defense of atheism and his equation of the Bible with Roman creation myths. Olbermann also cites the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, which John Adams signed and which states that "the government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." He winds up speculating that Palin's insistence on state oversight of private religious practices may be why, according to recent polls, "the libertarian Constitutionalist half of the Tea Party wants nothing to do with her."
Pay no attention to the liberal nay-sayers. Sarah Palin is bringing God's Truth to the people!
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Re: Sarah Palin: Church & State Should NOT be Seperate!

Sarah Palin stands reviled by many as a vacuous, ignoramus bent on dividing a nation by pushing her ill-conceived opinions on a gullible populace, but… but… and read carefully here; Did not Jesus Himself say,

“Lu:12:51: Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Lu:12:52: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Lu:12:53: The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.”?

Is this not a clear message that Sarah's words should be heard? Did not Jesus know that Unity came only through division?

What this country wants is Unity – and Unity of Church and State is one important part of that.

Lu:11:17: But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

United we stand, divided we fall. Sarah Palin, inspired by God is leading this Nation to days of Glory and preparing the path down which Jesus will tread on His Second Coming to slaughter countless millions of sinners and unbelievers. So let's get right behind her.

I pray fervently that she, guided by her husband, will lead the US to similar international respect to that created by G W. Bush, the man who spoke with God.

God bless this woman, He clearly speaks through her.

It's a pity that we need a woman in office to set the country right, what happened to all those respectable republican males? Come on guys!

It would seem like desperate times call for unorthadox measures. Once she gets elected America will be set back on the right track. I just know it will open the road to get the Lord's favorite country back on the right track!

Well it's not the first time God has used a woman in a position of authority. Remember Deborah in Kings?

Although I have heard some Christians refuse to vote for her because she is a woman. I really don't understand and just vote the way I'm told to.

Thank you for making this important point, and I'm sure that your citation to the wrong book of the Bible (Deborah appears in Judges, not in Kings) is a mere typographical error.

The story of Deborah's defeat of the forces of Sisera includes another fine example of godly womanhood, Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite, who ended the conflict in the Hebrew's favor by driving a nail into the head of Sisera, her guest, while he was sleeping and bowing at her feet:

Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. Judges 4:21

She put her hand to the nail ... and with the hammer she smote Sisera.... At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead. Judges 5:26-27

Now, I don't know exactly how a man who is fast asleep can bow at someone's feet, but I do know that for this killing, Jael was "blessed above women" (Judges 5:24). I believe that, in a similar way, the godly Sarah Palin is blessed above women.

I can't believe she made that stupid of a mistake. Of course she'll use her tired and constant excuse of "being tired".

Maybe she should be spending an hour a day copying scripture with the boys rather than spending it on here.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Re: Sarah Palin: Church & State Should NOT be Seperate!

I absolutely agree with Sarah Palin. This stupid idea of separation of church and state was promoted by that commie Thomas Jefferson. That's why the Texas State Board of Education has recently decided to delete Jefferson from the history textbooks - it's about time!

Incorporating religion into the state makes perfect sense. For one thing, it allows for faith-based initiatives (ie big fat subsidies for any business willing to call itself a "church"). My company made millions from this deal under our greatest president, George W Bush, but that atheist Obama has cut us off.

Another reason why church and state should be bonded together is that it's really the only way you're ever going to get people to vote against their interests. We never could have gotten the poor and middle class to support such outrageous ideas like big tax cuts for the rich, subprime loans, legalized usury, deregulation of Wall Street, unnecessary wars, torture, suspension of environmental regulations, sub-Third World health care, etc, without telling them that this was God's will. When Sarah Palin becomes president, we're going to do away with social security, the minimum wage and unemployment benefits - the True Christians will cheer, even as they're being evicted from their homes!

                    God's will in action

My personal favorite is how we've convinced them all that global warming is a hoax. Wow! Well, at least they'll benefit in some ways - sleeping beneath a freeway overpass won't be so cold in winter. Hope their kids know how to swim.

As Golden-Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein recently said, we ultra-rich are "doing God's work." That plus shouting "Abortion is murder!" is all you gotta say, and the sheep will follow. Still amazes me - there really must be a God.

Well of course President George W. Bush is a genius compared to her. He's a man and she's a woman. Unfortunately secular law says that he can't be President anymore.

Hopefully that will be one law Mrs. Palin will change so that our wonderful President can take back his rightful position.
