Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST, forgive me, but I need to rant.

It was brought to my attention today by an unexpected phone call from my old church that one of the young men there is dating a young woman who has tested positive for HIV.

The young man, Stephen, confided to his pastor that his girlfriend was raped and given the AIDS, and then the pastor may have told a couple people in the church, and they told a couple other people, and before you know it, the entire congregation is talking about Stephen and his HIV-infected girlfriend.

You can imagine how appalled and shocked they were when he announced he has proposed marriage to her, and she accepted! They have tried to talk him out of it, but he insists he "loves" her with all his "heart."

Now, I have known Stephen and his family since he was just a little baby in diapers being swatted for reaching for his momma's breasts. I know he was raised right to choose GODly abstinence. I know he was taught that only a monogamous sexual relationship with a spouse of the opposite sex and same religion could keep him safe from diseases.

And now he's going to throw all that out the window by marrying some AIDS-filled whore who got raped when she was 11!

At this rate, he'd be safer and happier if he went and had sex with everybody except his wife! At least if he had a fling on the side he could get a break now and then from sleeping in a hotbed of AIDS every night.

Is he going to wear a condom every time he has sex with his wife so he won't get infected, too? How are they going to have kids?

Well, if he goes through with this ludicrous scheme, I hope he gets AIDS right away so he can see just what happens to people who make a mockery of heterosexual Christian monogamous marriage from the inside.

I think the church is right in telling him not to bother ever coming back again.

Just loving someone who has HIV is enough to contract the disease. God wants us to shun unbelievers, and that includes anybody who doesn't make sincere prayers. All it would take, according to God's Holy Word, is faith the size of a mustard seed, and He would heal her instantly. There are no Christians with HIV.

This is a brave man who understands that God is gracious and that this lovely woman is not HIV but she has HIV.
That is why many HIV positive people who accept Christ die so quickly compared to the unsaved HIV positive person! We judge them even without words and play God.
Whether raped or not HIV is a disease and it is one test Christians fail over and over. This is someone else's child how can you label her a "whore"? Are you saying she begged to be raped at 10? What if it was your baby girl? Are you saying Christ came to die for the perfect person? But that boy is demonstrating the love of God-the AGAPE love.
You are suppose to be encouraged to seek knowledge about HIV so you can be an encouragement to the HIV +ve and great mentors cause you never know if one of your loved ones might just contract the disease!
Being HIV positive does not make you a whore,it could mean you were raped,contracted it from an unfaithful partner(Christian or not),you can also get it iyou go astray and backslide with that one partner-but like a prodigal son;when you come back God will forgive you and still love and use you for His glory.You see God forgives much beter than us and loves beter than us.
The Church needs a wake up call on HIV!It is not an end to life,a prevention to become a Christian and receiving God's blessings.
I hope you managed to change your minds about this situation and became encouraging (not feeling pity).
May God Help us as a Church to learn to Love unconditionally and stop acting as if we are the only ones who deserve His love because we are so Holy!

Friend, people have the AIDS because they go against the Word of God. Associating with these people is the same as raping baby Jesus. All people that are covered with the HIV are bad people.
These death warrants are a clever way of getting the Homsexualists to come to grips with their sins. If they refuse to follow the Bible, then they have to accept the consequences for their choices. God did give us all Free Will after all.
Just like a bastard son and for ten generations who can never be forgiven by God, neither can a person whose precious bodily fluids are teeming with the AIDS. Perhaps people will be more thoughtful in the future where they stick their genitalias.
