A scientist does not believe what someone else said simply because that someone else is an authority; a scientist evaluates the arguments and makes a judgement based on the merits of the arguments, disregarding whether the arguments were made by a world renown authority or a toddler.


Sure, there is a greater chance that words uttered by a world authority will make more sense than those of a toddler, but even that statistical fact cannot be used to judge the correctness of an actual utterance.

If you don’t accept the Bible(KJV1611) is real then you can’t be a Christian- that’s just common sense.

I’m sorry about getting your name wrong, the Inter Net reception where I live is not very strong.

You see, the very act of being a Christian renders science out of bounds to us. ALL the evidence points to the Earth being about 4.4 billion years old but the Bible(KJV1611) says that the Earth was created in one act of the Lord. Both cannot be true.

Now, I have to believe that to be a Christian. Anyone who purports to be a Christian but does not accept on faith that the Bible(KJV1611) is a collection of claims that are true and instead cherry picks the nice bits about God’s love are not Christians.

Can you imagine the level of cognitive dissonance these fair weather Christians must go through to make it all fit.

We here in Freehold actively disbelieve in reality because we believe thatbGod’s word trumps reality. The rocks may date billions of years but I chose not believe that because I want to get to Heaven.

Given the alternative, why don’t you give it a go? Deny reality for a week and embrace Jesus and see how you feel. If you’re handy you could know yourself up a prayer closet in a few hours
