By the way, The McKeithens are on tour this summer. They'll be at the True Christian™ Praise Music Jamboree at the Stephen Collins Foster Concert Hall at Landover Baptist University this September.

Are you saying that this child should be left to do as he wishes and if and when he makes a mistake then you teach him True Christian Values? Don't you think if you had been teaching and guiding from the beginning then he might never have erred. The child should know he has to take responsibility and there will be repercussions. If the plan is to send him to his room for a time out, a waste of time and a mockery to good parenting, he should know what it is like to be isolated and might go hungry depending on the time you have decided he should be given. If the end plan is the Lords way, the rod, the child should have been prepared for what he is to expect. I am not saying you should lay into him for no reason but the first few times let him be punished for any small infraction.
