so then we can agree that there is no way to tell what jesus looked like. white, black, jew, mid eastern. that all depictions are all relevant to the artists personal surrounding area and how the locals looked.

that you yourself said that there is no true image of Jesus in the world we can both agree that no one knows how he looks. that if an arab in the 1200s had an image of Jesus as an arab it would be just as valid as a black or white person painting a white or black jesus since its relevant to their surrounding people.

we can agree that the image of Jesus as we know it was fabricated of a man by man to depict the local man around which the painter/sculptor, etc. lived. Just as the church in the 1400s modeled their Jesus after Cesar Borgia, it is just as feasible that any other image of Jesus was modeled after other locals with modifications to match him having a beard and long hair.

i said the modern image of Jesus was crafted in 1492. if you carefully go through all the images of jesus in the source you provided me with, only a few remain consistent with the modern day image. the other ones vere off in crazy other directions.

in regards to the famous revelations chapter about jesus having blazing white skin and hair.....hair....hair....his hair is white...white hair...wwwhhiiitteee haaaiirrr......

what color is his hair in the rest of the paintings??? thats the brownest looking white ive ever seen in my life. his eyes were like fire...guess that makes his eyes yellow???? who knew that was possible without contacts. skin being white as snow...so i guess he was albino then??? but that wouldnt make sense because albino cant be exposed to prolonged sunlight seeing as they lack melanin. so how in the heck did he survive the middle east??

my whole point is that the modern image of jesus that we all appear worship is a mad made crafted image and that to debate the pigment of his skin color is about as useful as trying to stop the tide from rising and falling. unless you can create a time machine and go back to the year 21 ad and get a good look at the miracle worker himself then theres really no point in saying "Jesus is (insert color here).

so your telling me that you dont find it odd that there are no on record depictions of the famous miracle worker Jesus Christ that predate the 1400s. in 1400 years of human history no one started making images of jesus until the early renaissance. and that with 1400 years of no images, suddenly out of nowhere these artists suddenly know how he looks and for some reason looks Italian?

i was merely posting up some of the laws from leviticus i saw that were just plain ridiculous such as children who disrespect their parents are to be killed. how many children have you killed?

that blind people and those with flat noses are not allowed to go to an altar of God. how many people with flat noses have you kicked out of your church so far?

you do realize that ALL of your clothes is made up of more then 1 kind of fabric. even the 100% polyester is synthesized from fusing coal air water and petroleum. even 100% cotton is infused with synthetic fibers created from oil. so i really hope you are all making your own clothes from your own farm animals and not shopping from Target or Walmart.

We are definitely not a Walmart crowd. I go to Walmart less then once a year (not because of the slavery or whatever, I couldn't care less about that), and it is filled with funny looking and often funny smelling people. I don't want to associate with these people, so I don't shop there. Period.

When God impregnated Mary with the Baby Jesus, he did not create some God/human hybrid or demigod, like some ridiculous Greek god of mythology would be said to have done.

God implanted a zygote, as evidenced by the fact that Jesus is fully God. So while Mary was the vessel, she and Jesus were not biologically related in the way a normal mother and son are.

Therefore, Jesus is as white as was Adam who was created in the image of God.

What is all this? This is quite a hateful place. Certainly God doesn't want any of this! Do you really think God will let you into His kingdom with all of this pompous superiority and hatred? Did you miss the part of the Bible that said we are ALL God's children, and he loves us ALL and wants ALL of us to be Saved?

I don't see how any of you can have that smug smile in your pictures, put on suits, hang your degrees on a wall and actually feel righteous in saying things like, "Jesus was white because Europeans painted him that way, and he is white because he is the Savior of WHITE people and ALL people who aren't white are criminals and heathens that God doesn't care for!"

I find it weird that he emphasized "NOT Joseph." What difference does that make? Mary and Joseph were both Middle Eastern. Even if God DID impregnate Joseph somehow (absurd, obviously) that doesn't change anything. Also, it doesn't prove anything either.

Heaven is the Kingdom in which God resides, which is outside of time and space. That's where one experiences eternity. God isn't affected by time and space because he is not "in" our physical universe. As such, Heaven isn't "closer" to the Sun. It isn't in this universe.

This is all ridiculous hate-mongering and you all know it. You all need to pray real hard and ask Him for forgiveness for being judgmental, hateful, and full of pride for something so superfluous.

And regarding the few people who have called all people of color criminals, I ask this: If that is true, how do you explain the numerous white people who commit atrocious crimes, and how do you explain the people of color who leads lives far more righteous than your own, without all of this silly pride and hatred that, oh yeah!, God commands against?!
