I just want to reiterate, for those unsaved who may not understand the Bible, that the Earth is -- as Current says -- God's Special Planet spiritually...but also physically.

The universe literally rotates around the Earth.

Actually, the Sun rotates around the Earth, and the universe rotates around the Sun. Once per day.

Now, the servants of Satan have suggested that such motion would require bodies like Pluto -- not to mention Betelgeuse -- to travel much faster than the speed of light. But that is not so.

Einstein's theories declare that there is no preferred universal reference frame. Therefore, if one holds that the Earth is perfectly stationary and the universe is in motion around it, all physical laws are undisturbed. There is no way to say that such a universe is "wrong" or "incorrect". Distant bodies do not move through the universe faster than light-speed; rather, the universe itself is in motion.

But God-hating people often raise an objection: it is all very well to say "the Earth is stationary" but it is also meaningless: stationary with respect to what?

The Earth is stationary with respect to the Throne of God. The Throne is outside the universe (God being unbound by space and time) and so that defines the true Godly reference frame. And it is with reference to the Throne of God that the universe is seen to be in motion, and the Earth unmoving.

There is an alternative to believing that the universe is physically geocentric. And that is to believe the God is man's creation and not his Creator.

The Bible implies, in several places, that the Earth is physically unmoving and that the Sun rotates around the Earth. Now, if you believe in the conventional model of the solar system -- with the planets revolving about the Sun in elliptical orbits -- then you have to believe the God did not know His mighty Arse from a hole in the ground when He put His mighty Word down in the Bible. You have to believe that God was scientifically ignorant.

You have to believe that He knew no more about astronomy or physics than a superstitious goat-herder fresh out of the Neolithic. ANd that is just what the atheists and God-hating liberals want you to think.

Relativity is pure HOGWASH in the Einsteinian sense and I'm glad somebody finally cleared up where God's true frame of reference lies.
I still vomit when I hear about an astronaut leaving some point at the speed of light and he comes back the same age while everybody at the point of origin is dead. Everybody knows your watch is still accurate when you walk to church and return. Anyway from God's view of the universe not only does the universe revolve around the Earth but it revolves mysteriously around all us True Christians™. GLORY.

The Earth is definitely not the center of the universe. The Sun is the center of our Solar System. There are many other Solar Systems out there in Outer Space and there is no way that Earth is the center of the Universe. Also, the Earth revolves around the Sun. This is all Scientifically proven.
