    Straw Poll

    Brothers and Sisters while in Des Monies today on business I found a very disturbing news article. I can not tell you how very important the up and coming election is. As you know we have been over ran with candidates for the Office of Mayor. I urge each and every one who considers themselves a True Christian™ to get out the vote. There is only one True Candidate JJ HOLD.

    Why do we have to change? I like Freehold just the way it is. Why can't Alfred King (no relation) take his uppity politics to Chicago, where they like that sort of thing?

      Because time is marching FORWARD. We don't live back in the Bronze Age anymore, when your "holy book" was written (by people who never even met your Jesus.) Civil Rights, the empowerment of women, increased education and wages, freedom from persecution, and a logical, widening gap between Church and State has blossomed everywhere in America except in our stale little corner of Iowa.

      It's as if the Landover Baptist Church and its pathetic Town Council (made up of church officials) have been asleep for hundreds of years....like Rip Van Winkle or the people in that musical Brigadoon....(which we will be presenting as the Freehold Community Players' Spring Musical next year, BTW)

      I suggest you church members take stock. In this March To Equality you can Lead, Follow...or Get Out of the Way.

          While I am of course very happy and very grateful for everyone who is supporting me it is important to realize this race is not over yet. I urge all my supporters to go vote on March 17. Even though at the moment my lead migth seem wide I assure all of you every vote will be important!

            I'm all for 'change'! Can we change back? Can we bring back the 1950's, please!!!

            When men were the heads of households, children obeyed and were happy to do so, wives had dinner on the table when the man came back from work, people had sex fully clothed, darkies were invisible, the Soviet Union was the ENEMY, and America was truly a land of opportunity for every white Christian man!

            Good times. I wish I was back there.

              But, Brothers, in all honesty, we aren't going to let this happen, are we? Our women might get uppity when a joo pollster asks them suggestive questions, but on election day, their husbands will be with them, to direct them in the right way, Johny Joe Hold. That's true, right?

                Absolutely! At first I didn't want my wife to vote at all but I think she will have to vote now instead to get more votes for Johny Joe Hold. I am sure she will know what to do.
