I experienced homosexual urges throughout my adolescence. I think it's something pretty much all men go through if they're honest with themselves, but some choose to fight the demons (yes, literally) and get right with the LORD while others are too caught seeking libidinous gratification to be bothered with glorifying Jesus by following the straight and narrow path of a moral life.

While all people who have not been Saved® are prone to demonic possession to some extent, they are affected by different types of demons to varying degrees. Some become goths, some become addicted to pornography, some choose to follow Eastern religions despite a Christian upbringing, some vote Democrat... Some do several of these together and more! The fact is that we are fallen and only through accepting Jesus Christ as our Personal LORD and Savior and striving day in and day out to seek His Face can we ever hope to be free of sin.

Although I never acted on the demonic urges, I spent much of my time daydreaming about muscular men and Latino men and nurturing my crush on Ricky Martin by hoarding any magazine I could find with his pictures. I would fellate bananas while listening to techno alone in my room at night. I was quite effeminate, and it took a proper beating after a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting to make me recognize that I was on a path to eternity in the Lake of Fire.

I spent that night hitting myself and yelling at myself in the mirror until I was blue in the face! I was trying to control the evil urges through my own willpower, but to no avail. As I sat on the edge of the bathtub to catch my breath, a mineral stain near the drain caught my eye. It was Jesus. He was telling me that I would never control these urges on my own, but that I must seek His Face and get help through the Church. A week later, I was in the back of a van on my way to a three-month Reorientation Camp.

Much of my susceptibility to gayness-afflicting demons, I learned, was due to not having a strong father figure in my life (he was an oil man and always away). So one of the first things I worked on was to spend time in the fetal position being cradled by one of the Pastors while I let myself cry the tears I had been holding back since childhood. Some nights we would not be allowed to sleep, in order to make the aversion therapy the next day more effective. Any spare time I had was spent praying or spending one-on-one time with the Pastors. I remember having my head shocked a few times, but memories are a bit fuzzy around that time. Actually, there are about 10 days or so in there toward the end where I'm drawing a complete blank. Whatever they did to me worked, though, and I am proud to say that I am now 100% heterosexual!

So if you're serious about getting right with the LORD, you're going to have to make some tough choices. But Jesus will be with you every step of the way! I, for one, will put you in my prayers tonight. I have a pretty good track record with having my prayers answered, but even with all the time and effort I may put into crafting a prayer to pray the gay away from you, you're still going to have to pick yourself up by the bootstraps and make an effort for Jesus. I know you can do it with the help of Jesus.

Friend, it's OK to be gay. You CAN be gay AND go to Heaven. Surprised? You just need some minor adjustments and you can continue to call yourself gay WITHOUT going to Hell:

Jedediah, your brave testimony brought tears of joy to my eyes. If young Greggy were a member of our church, we would have no trouble finding a Pastor willing to perform the therapy you described. Greggy could ask his own Pastor to help him in this manner; surely he will be happy to oblige.
