We have all read about Methuselah - the oldest man in the Bible.
Genesis 5:25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:
Genesis 5:26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
Genesis 5:28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
Genesis 5:29 And he called his name Noah, ....
Methuselah was the grandfather of Noah - and we all know that Noah was 600 years old when the Flood came (Genesis 7:6, in case you forgot).
Methuselah begets Lamech when he's 187
Lamech begets Noah when he's 182
Flood starts when Noah is 600.
187 + 182 + 600 = 969
All this proves that God leaves nothing to coincidence. Methuselah was 969 when God killed him along with all the other Jews.
But I happened to take a look at the Septuagint, i.e. the Greek text tradition. Some of the existing volumes are from the 4th century and you might ERRONEOUSLY assume these old tomes were "closer to the truth" than King James from the 17th century.
Well, they are not! The Septuagint gets the 969 and the 600 straight. But then something goes horribly wrong: (link)
Genesis 5:25 And Mathusala lived an hundred and sixty and seven years, and begot Lamech.
[...]
Genesis 5:28 And Lamech lived an hundred and eighty and eight years, and begot a son
"Mathusala" begets Lamech when he's 167
Lamech begets Noah when he's 188
Flood starts when Noah is 600.
187 + 182 + 600 = 955
So according to the Septuagint, Methuselah lived 14 years (969 - 955) after the Flood!
I can't believe it's legal to publish such preposterous pap! We know that "the waters prevail[ed]; and the mountains were covered." (Genesis 7:20) and yet the Septuagint has the temerity to state that "Mathusala" lived 14 more years with nary a worry about getting wet feet. Wow!
How long will they be allowed to smear their fetid lies upon the collective face of the unsuspecting public? Do they think we're stupid or something? For me, the "proof" that the Bible is God-inspired (of the Holy Spirit) and inerrant would be that no error would exist within its pages or in its various recensions (God is NOT impotent and unable to preserve his holy word).
I hope this makes it clear to everybody, why the Authorized KJV1611 is the only Bible that God ever wrote.
