The point is that just because some ancient societies revered homers, does not mean that homers are not inferior and are not going to hell.

And that invoking ancient societies as being exemplars of what is right makes no sense.

Get it into your silly skull, wombat brain, that anything that opposes the Word of God -- the KJV1611 -- is wrong. That includes anywhere and anytime that homers were treated as normal. I know what you perceive as wrong. And I know that what you perceive as right is wrong by many, if not any standards. Those of us who aren't xtian want equality. But equality isn't good enough for you, you want preferential treatment. For you, not being able to push your religion onto other people is considered persecution. For you, not being able to openly condemn and incriminate others for actions that your book tells you it doesn't like, like for instance homosexuality, is persecution.

I hate to break it to you, but morality was around a long time before xtianity was. Humans wrote the bible. And the rest of the bible seems to contradict those commandments more than once.

Despite your insulting shortening of Christianity, this is one of the few times you've been right. Morality has been around for, ooohhh, about 4000 years before Christianity. Since Eve handed Adam a piece of fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, in fact.
Jesus was around all this time, of course, but in Heaven. It wasn't until He was born as a man that the seeds of Christianity were planted, and they reached full growth when He reached adulthood, then bore fruit aplenty at His death and resurrection.
