Girl, you might want to read the original post again. God didn't give us reason. The woman took it on the instigation of Satan:

    Genesis 3:4-7:
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

So yes, knowledge and rationality are evil things.

I have addressed all that here:

Why Christianity is the only religion that makes sense

I think I'm going to leave you guys to your faith and I'll stick to what I believe in.

I'll try to use small words since you are obviously of a diminished mental capacity.

God - knows - the - future! God already knew exactly how many people would be saved when he wrote the book of Revelation. It is impossible for more than that number to be saved.

It just doesn't seem like the loving and just "God" that we're taught about here in our education system and church.
That is because most of the churches in this world are lying false Christian churches, who do not obey the Bible, but make up their own god.

As it stands, you have NO right to question God.

Romans 9:20 But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?'"

Or are we to believe that life is a big competition for the affections of an omnipitent being? It just doesn't seem like the loving and just "God" that we're taught about here in our education system and church.

Haven't you read the book of Revelation? That will NEVER happen. This world will continue to be filled with a majority of sinners until the day Jesus returns and tosses them into a Lake of Fire to burn forever and ever.

Our job is to help the very, very few people who will be saved. There are only 144,000 people from all of history who will get to heaven, out of the billions and billions who have walked this earth.

[QUOTE=True Disciple;722993]By divine revelation, of course:
So, neither should we try to change. It can only remove us further from God (and actually, people who follow science often lose their Faith, which proves that advancement leads people away from God).

If people should not change, then how will people create the sin-free society that the christian faith strives towards? Not being a Christian in the same light as you regard yourselves in I find it difficult to rely on a fideistic style of faith. But surely we must change to achieve the world that we, and indeed God wants.

I'm interested by your knowledge of scripture, you must have to work pretty hard ontop of whatever you do as a day job to maintain that level of in-depth knowledge. It's impressive.

    By divine revelation, of course:

    2 Peter 1:20-21:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

    2 Timothy 3:15-17:
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

All Scripture is ultimately written by God, the writers just wrote down what God told them. There is not a single part in the Bible that is the product of rational thinking.

Surely the knowledge and basic skills that have enabled Man and Woman to produce, papyrus/paper/parchment, ink and writing impliments show that knowledge is in part a positive thing.
I don't think that qualifies either as knowledge or rational thinking. Anyway, what proof do you have that these things were invented by rationalists and not given to Man by God?

Without some aspects of knowledge we would indeed still be early humans incapable of advancement and enlightenment, whatever you personally feel that enlightenment is.
The Bible doesn't say anywhere that "advancement" is a good thing. After all, God never changes:

    Malachi 3:6:
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

    Hebrews 13:8:
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

So, neither should we try to change. It can only remove us further from God (and actually, people who follow science often lose their Faith, which proves that advancement leads people away from God).
Additionally, the Bible teaches that there is nothing new under the sun. All technologies we have today, therefore, must have been known at some point in the past, perhaps by the antediluvian civilizations:

    Ecclesiastes 1:9:
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

There is of course an argument to be had that too much knowledge is bad for certain members of society.

Friend, God knows infinitely more than what He wrote down in the Bible, but that does not mean that what He wrote down in the Bible therefore somehow isn't True anymore. And God wrote in the Bible that He hates it when people think for themselves. What's your point?

    do you doubt him?
Definitely not. Only by thinking rationally can people start to doubt God.

then why does anyone bring up arguments about gods will when
Umm...I did, friend. Actually I have quoted Scripture from all over the Bible to strengthen my point. Are you slow?

GOD DOESENT HATE RATIONAL THINKING its why we are still alive
he loves our ingenuity and creativity (for thos who WILL bring up satan and the apple and how god hates us Burn where nonbeleivers burn)
    that is all
Friend, what you are saying is opposite to what is written in the Bible. Therefore, you are wrong. Do you really think we would believe the words of a God-mocking atheist over the Words of the Almighty Himself?

Of course God would remedy my teeth, if I asked Him to:

    Matthew 7:7-8:
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

    Matthew 17:20:
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

    John 15:7:
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
