    Dear RogerLockless,

While faith is very important, the Bible is about more than just one word. Actually there isn't a word in the Holy Bible that isn't extremely important.

For example, the Bible teaches us there is only one way to go to Heaven: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father but by Me." (John 14:6). So only by choosing Jesus for 100%, only by following His Holy Bible for 100%, can we ever hope to once reach Heaven.

The Bible also tells us we have to repent: "Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3) and we have to have faith: "For by grace are ye saved through faith." (Ephesians 2:8). So faith is indeed essential, but so is everything else that is in His Holy Bible!

    Yours in Christ,

    Pastor J.C. Manning, M.D., Ph.D.

Well you can only try, and give the opportunity. Even Jesus couldn't convince everyone.

But I just wanted for some to take a look at a few scriptures that you have used before, in a new light.

    Matthew 6:9-10 (King James Version)

9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

So in this well known verse of Jesus praying to Jehovah, he asks us to pray for God's Kingdom, not only in heaven but on the earth.

Many know this prayer of Jesus to his Father. This kingdom , Jesus mentions here, is the first thing mentioned in this prayer. So Jesus considered it of first importance. This is the theme of the bible. It is about government.
The book of Revelation is all about government.
I was in error when I said this.

So... this is the correct explanation. The first thing mentioned in this prayer Jesus , said to God at Mat 6:9-10, was to make mention of God's name. ( Jehovah)
The second was about God's kingdom. ( government)

Jesus knew we were human! And there’s a big difference between being human and worshiping the Devil!
Yes, that is true. But we are all born in sin. We have no choice about that. We inherited that. The bible tells we are all under the ruler-ship of Satan. But through Jesus death and the bible itself we can through knowledge and and our desire to follow Jesus we can, even in our imperfect state be successful.
Though few will actually do that.

    Matthew 7:13-14 (King James Version)

13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Now here is a verse that , God tells us what to teach to the people of the world.

    Matthew 24:14 (King James Version)

14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Do you see what is supposed to be discussed in this preaching work.
It is the good news (gospel) of the kingdom.
So God tells us to tell the world about his kingdom. ( government)

Do you see , how this fits?

AND STOP POSTING IN BLUE! (verses may be done in maroon symbolizing the Blood of Christ.)
These scriptures I have mentioned over my last few posts are are what Jesus said about the ruler of the world ,these are not my words. Jesus called Satan the ruler of the world. There are many scriptures that confirm this.

John 14:30 (New American Standard Bible)

    30"I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;

    John 14:30 (King James Version)

30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

I have used the KJV of the bible and sometimes a few others, to prove what I say. This information is in the bible, you like to use.
I know this understanding is different than many have been taught, but it is your bible.

    Matthew 6:9-10 (King James Version)

    Genesis 3:15 (King James Version)

15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This is the first prophecy in the bible and talks about how God will have Jesus take the ruler ship of Satan away from him. This prophecy is fulfilled in Revelation.

The bible is about God and how he will take away Satan's ruler ship, and how this will affect all of mankind.

But all the good things - didn't men choose those as well? The kind, the generous, the honest, the compassionate, the True Christian™, are they "of Satan"? Are you some sort of "humanist" who believes man's destiny is in his own hands rather than the Hands of God? No son, God chooses everything, He guides everyone otherwise how could He know our futures?
I believe what the bible says.
An example, that the bible gives us is Noah. It was because Noah did what God wanted him to do. ( he was a preacher of righteousness) in the way Jehovah wanted him to do it, he was saved. Noah had the free will to do it or not. There about 1 million people at that time, and Noah and his family were the only ones that survived. No one offered to help him, they thought he was deluded. Actually the people jeered him. So man has a choice. And it wouldn't be the popular way to go. Even among religions. The same when Jesus came. The 'chosen people' the Jewish nation put Jesus to death. This pictures the state of Christianity today.
So many that think they are doing God's will are not.

    Matthew 7:22-23 (King James Version)

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

This scripture is talking about Christians, ones that believe in Jesus.

    Actually there is no contradiction.
    This is easy to understand.
Jehovah is God the creator, and as such is over all things.( including the earth)
He gave the ruler ship of the earth to an angel that made himself Satan. ( resistor)
As the ruler of the earth Satan deceived Eve and caused Adam to be disloyal.
But Satan is the ruler of the earth. ( God still has ultimate control.) So what Jehovah did , is allowed Satan to continue his rule of the earth, and man chose to follow him rather than God. This was allowed so that man and the angels , could see how things would end up.
Well, we see how things turned out.
This act allowed this question, ( of man going on his own)to be answered for all time. God will step in, at his appointed time, which he set at Adam's disloyalty.( he will not allow his earth to be totally ruined by man.)
At Armageddon Jesus will take this ruler ship away from Satan. That is why the sealed number 144,000 taken from the earth will rule with Jesus for 1,000 years. This is the time set still remaining of (God's rest day), to bring the earth and man back to the perfect state, in which it started.
The earth and man at the end of God's rest-day , were to be perfect and in a filled earth with man and animals. So nothing has changed , it will be done just as Jehovah said it would be, and in the same time period.

    Very rational.

Ms Bog, merely leaving off a '?' does not mean a question was not asked.

    @epignosis,
The question is in the first quote above.
That's correct, 'Ms Bog' listed a a number of scriptures, but I did not get what the point of them were. So what in particular, did she want a comment on? Because she said she was not asking a question, there is no answer that I could give. So I said OK, to let her know I read her post.
(I got whacked from the monitor for that)
If she asked a question I would have answered it!

    Ezekiel Bathfire:......

The Bible is not about "governments." There were no "governments" in the Bible worthy of the name. You are conflating the term 'government' to mean any system or rule at all. In the Bible OT, there are absolute monarchs and absolute tribal leaders, all appointed (or killed) by God. In the NT, there are the Romans and the Pharisees. The Jews had no say in what the heathen Romans did and some Pharisees, who were the local theocrats, refused to listen to Jesus' word.
Most people think the bible is about man's salvation, but really, it is about governments. God's Sovereignty. The bible answers the question of who has the right to rule, Satan or God.It also says how this is going to happen, and of course man's place in this. Since we have free will to choose just like Adam did.Adam chose Satan of all of us, but we as individuals also have the opportunity to choose.

In Genesis is the first prophecy in the bible and it is answered in Revelation.
So God's Sovereignty, ( government) is the theme of the bible.
