    God Bless Texas, Again!

Praise Jesus everyone! The home state of GWB (our greatest president) has hit another homerun for Jesus in THIS latest move, that ensures a Christian education in every public school! Shout Glory!!

Texas public schools required to teach Bible this year

WHITEHOUSE, TX (KLTV) - The school year is almost here, and if literature of the Bible is not already offered in your child's school, it will be this fall.

Books are a common sight in classrooms around the nation, but the Bible is one book that is not. Come this fall, a Texas law says all public schools must offer information relating to the Bible in their curriculum.

"By the end of the year, what they begin to realize is that it is pervasive. You can't get away from it. The kids came back and were like 'It's everywhere,'" said John Keeling, the social studies chair at Whitehouse High School. Whitehouse already offers a Bible elective. "The purpose of a course like this isn't even really to get kids to believe it per say. It is just to appreciate the profound impact that it has had on our history and on our government," said Keeling.

The law actually passed in 2007, but this will be the first school year it is enforced because the bill says, "The provisions of this act pertaining to a school district do not take effect until the 2009-2010 school year."

This has gained mixed reactions from East Texans. "I think it is a good thing because a lot of kids don't have that experience, and they already want to take prayer out of school as it is-- and you see where our kids are ending up!" said Tyler resident Laura Tucker.

Tyler resident Havis Tatum disagress with Tucker. He said, "I don't want anybody teaching their religious beliefs to my child unless they want to send their child to my house and let me teach them my religious views. There is no difference."

School officials tell us schools haven't enforced this law because of confusion over the bill's wording and lack of state funding.

For now, each school district must find a way to fill the requirement before the seats are filled with students.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

    Amen!

I am beside myself with joy for the state of my birth. Compulsory bible education in public schools. Glory!

This truly gives me great hope for public education in all of America!
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Finally, a state has the right idea! I wish I learned the Bible in school instead of having to read it myself. I mean, I like reading the Bible and all, but if I had to do it for school, that would be one less book report, and more time to read the Bible!

This will never happen in San Jose, because there are soooooo many peole here that don't believe in Jesus. Today, this guy wearing turbine came into The Pita Pit and I could barely understand him. And when I gave him his change, right over the tip jar so I totally know he saw it, he didn't even give me a quarter.

I bet he wouldn't vote for the Bible in school, no way! And there are tons of people like him in town, so I guess I should just keep reading the Bible at home, and not get any credit for it all!

There's good news and bad news about this.

Good: They're teaching about Christianity in schools.

Bad: Catholics and other religions will push hard to get their own beliefs into the school system, saying it's unfair.

Let 'em push. Papists aren't even Christians, so it doesn't apply to them.

Jenni has a point though, I can already see all the libertards out there pushing for demonic religions to be taught as well.

The LIEberals already control our government, so it wouldn't be a suprise.

Yes, they'll be insisting that we also teach children about beastiality and race-mixing. "It's only fair," they'll say. BULLCORN!

I hope they will be using KJV1611. If they use some garbage version of the Bible, then that could cause more problems that it solves.

Speaking of which, they should also be using KJV1611 for all ESL courses as well. It would be an excellent way to curb all that street slang and ebonics trash we are hearing nowadays.

They already do. It is called "evolution" and "sex education". So this just levels the playing field a bit.

As good news as this is - one small step, etc., I am disturbed by the thought that all these children will be taught salad-bar Christianity - all the fluffy-bunny, "Ooo God loves everyone"; "He appreciates diversity"; "Slavery is wrong"; "Homers aren't bad people". etc.

Unless they bring in some powerful Baptist Preachers, to give them stories of glorious slaughters, Rape, Pillage, Destruction of idols, Hell-Fire and Damnation, these young ones will deluded into thinking attaining Salvation is as easy as falling off a log.

                      Here, here !

It would be an absolute abomination for even one nickel of tax payer money to be spent on a Catlick Bible.

And I would be aghast to see a Torah, Book of Mor(m)on, an NIV, or horrors(!) Good News for Modern Man !!!!!!!!

Egad, the peril of this situation just has me praying as hard as I have ever prayed for anything before !!

You needn't worry about us Catholics trying to get our beliefs in public schools. We are already quite successful at offering wonderful (and expensive) alternative to the public school, which give children a much better education (at the right price).

That 'better education' is centered on idolatry and sodomy.

Teaching children to become sperm receptacles for deviant priests is not something I would go around bragging about.
