As an admitted Filipino Catholic, I have been joining this parade every January 9. In every "barangay" they prepare an idol depicting a black Jesus Christ carrying a cross named the Black Nazarene or we call it "Ang Itim na Nazareno". And then, millions of Catholic Filipinos carry this idol around the country, reenacting the image's transfer from the original shrine in Intramuros to Minor Basilica. The original statue itself was transferred all the way from Mexico into Philippines. The Filipinos depict this Jesus as black due to the widespread belief that it was charred by a fire that was on the galleon on its travel to our country. It is believed to heal diseases on the touch of the idol, and if you wipe your handkerchief on the hand of the statue and whisper a prayer, it would come true.
Today is January 12 as I post this, and I am already converted into a Christian on January 9, 7:43 P.M (Oh the irony.) so don't be surprised if I only knew this now. I was still blinded by the Vatican teachings then when I attended the parade, and as I learned more about Christianity and discovered more of the blasphemous lies my local priest has influenced me with, I realized that the parade of the Black Nazarene was a big annual breaking of the third commandment of the Lord.
According to both the 10 Commandments Lists in Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21, in the third commandment,it explicitly said that:
So, every January 9, the Filipino people unknowingly break God's third commandment due to the high-falutin jargon Catholic priests keep spreading to us naive Filipinos. I am extremely angry at myself for being so blind and I can only hope I can spread awareness to Catholics, especially Filipinos, who will be going to hell without knowing it.
Also, do you celebrate the Black Nazarene in your country? Because according to Wikipedia, a similar image of the Black Nazarene has been venerated in Portobelo, Panama, and they might also celebrate this sinful parade there as well. They name it Christo Negro which literally means Black Christ. Weak Christians might join this parade also, and it may spread into the entire United States.
I hope this piece of information helped all of you.
here's the image of the idol itself:

For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments."
